Nope, I did however just watch the common price go from 199.99 to 249.99 1120 or 1200 round crate at retail, the highest I've seen this summer was $299 for 1120 round crate and the lowest was $160 for 1120. Now suddenly we are seeing 199.99 for a 1320round crate.


For $256 after tax I had a 27KG crate shipped overnight to my door. How much would that cost? How much could the Crate cost if the company still made a profit?


The SKS's that retail from $179-$199 are now $75 if you buy a crate, or a crate and SKS is $299. You do the math, the markup is not small by any means...


One of the supposed reasons for the price hike was people saying crates can't come in anymore and they have to be packaged differently(NRCAN was it?). Now we have LARGER crates coming in at lower prices? I wonder who started that rumor?


I could be wrong and it could be seasonal but as someone watching this and actually tracking it the prices seem kind of suspect. If the past few weeks of price drops are any indication then we, the consumer, are in for some deals.

If LeBaron can do it for $200.00 then Anthony at Trade Ex can do it for less - and he usually includes free shipping on his bulk surplus ammo....Check out post #25 here:

When the announcement comes that the sky is falling...it usually comes from the people who have stock at the old price when they find out the new shipments are cheaper. Get everyone to buy up their old stock for a higher price.

I will buy one for they hell of it might be good stuff.

And if you look at the pricing of ammo is the US. !! It is dropping like crazy. Under $340 for 1000 rounds of SS109! Under $500 for .308
 
10 crates:eek: I ordered one crate from LeBaron's.
Since it due to arrive around September, I have some time to find a rifle to shoot it.....

yeah, they do that. the cute brunette (younger one, lol) took my name and number and said would call me when they came in. i will definitely stop by the store before i head up to the office.

That's odd. I dropped by the store yesterday and the young cute brunette at the cash told me that if I prepay/order at the gun shop I would be sure to get my ammo. So off I went...and I just got an email today that my brand spanking new CSA VZ58 11" has been shipped!
I'm soooo excited....

Me too, The lady just wanted my name and phone number.

Hope I dont miss the boat either, cause I could have pre paid but it didnt seem like a needed option??...
 
was there a week or so ago, picked up an sks for 200, and they took my name for a crate (no problem there will be lots, we'll put you down for a case - pay later)/

get a call today, come in and pay for the crate, pre-paids get priority. gee thanks. now I gotta trek back to pay..and then back again in a month or so to p u. PITA, but I;ll probably do it...
 
I put my name down at the Markham store last week. Pre-paid at the Mississauga store 2 days later when I dropped by for something else.
I just got a call from the Markham store to come in and pre-pay.
I guess the supply and demand is becoming an issue....
 
There is a store on the quebec side , can't remember the name but they are selling the 1200 round cases for 139. right now.
It's near Laval
