A 1913 Savage 1899H takedown in 22 H.P. My great-grandfather originally bought it and then it has been passed down through the family to my grandfather, my father and now me. Hopefully I'll have a son to pass it down to someday.

Just rescued, Grandad's 1866. Yep it's the real thing.
It got sawed off at some point in it's life.

Any ideas what it might be worth?

Is this one of the new ones from Italy? The wood looks a lot nicer and the case colouring is nice as well.

It's Brazilian, I got it from Wanstalls. No longer has a lawyer safety or the single plastic component it came with. :)

My latest Rossi came with that stupid safety on it too. What did you use to fill the hole, and where did you get that follower

Just Google Steve's Gunz. I bought the DVD kit which includes the mag follower and ejector spring along with an awesome instruction video on slicking up the action. Add the safety replacement plug and it's about $90 shipped.
