That's a very unique shed.

Watch out though, the dog seems to want it in a big way!

Here are my hunting season pictures, my two point moose shot him at about 300 yards through a small opening in some young spruce trees way in the back of a swamp, when we got down there to start opening him up the other moose he was with were still hanging around including two large bulls grunting at each other, what an experience that was being in the middle lol.

(it was very sunny that morning)

And here is my deer, hes no monster but he was good enough for me we just stalked up on a cow moose to see if she had a bull with her but she did not as a bachelor herd of a few bucks stood up and this guy was the nicest.

A Manitoba Buck with my Son

Went hunting with my son Saturday, the weather sort of resembled winter and was able to rattle this guy in. I shot him out of a box stand over looking a slough, on my Dads property. The swamp grass is so tall this year. When he was sneaking in all I could see was his head and neck,so I shot him in the neck at about 150 yards.

Here's my boy ready to go

I would REALLY appreciate it if you posted a few pics of your boat!
Cat

Here's one. It's a 16ft cedar-strip canoe that I built in 1999. The hull is white cedar/fiberglass with cherry decks, mahogany gunwales, with natural cane seats. It weighs 52 lbs & is a joy to paddle.

blacksmithden, I'm just wondering if your deer was shot in the rear leg before it was shot in the head. It looks almost like a bullet hole above the right rear knee. Or is all that blood between the back legs from it doing a sumersault?

I cant speak for everyone but I always feel a little bad when I kill something. I don't laugh and dance and cry like the clowns on wild tv. I always feel good about a quick humane kill and just hope that the animal suffers as little as possible. I take alot of pride in the fact that I go to every effort to preserve and use all of the meat that I'm able to.

I guess I'm thankful more than anything.

I removed Florins post and asked him to start a new thread to ask those questions.

Now, I need to find a pic to get this thread back on track...

sorry guys! keep the pics coming, i'm really interested and would like to see what people have hunted :)

cheers everyone!

It was really warm last fall up north and the trees didn't seem to realize that winter was on it's way.

Found a nice spot to hunt for the day

My war wound. Pushing bush and stepped over a log onto, what I thought was solid ground. Ended up being moss and my foot went right through and I dropped about a foot before hitting solid ground. My shin smashed into the log giving me this nice kiss through two layers of pants.

After all of that, the only thing I shot was my camera. Not one bullet out of the 45/70. It was a great trip with some good friends.

Now this year's mulie....

Ya... the deer has a nicer mug than I do... leave it be. ;)
