That's awesome thanks for sharing! I actually do have the correct iron sights for one of them. Both now have the black A2 stock with accuracy speaks adjustable butt pads. Very cool rifles and tack drivers with 168 or 175 smk rounds. With gen2 mags they feed flawlessly as well. Really like these pieces of Canadian history!

First up, an original Artillerie Inrichtingen (AI) AR-10, Circa 1960. Last production version, purchased by the Portuguese Army for use by its Airborne Forces and Marines during the Angolan Civil War. 11 years ago when I was last permitted to legally transport this rifle to the shooting range, it typically printed 1.5 MOA or better with factory match ammo:

This one is a Transitional Dutch AR10 made by Artillerie Inrichtingen in 1959. It has traits from both earlier and later AR10s. For example, notice the early charging handle but later handguard style. The guards were carved from walnut because the plastic composite was not yet perfected. These rifles did not see much (if any) field use but 5 were tested at the Aberdeen Proving grounds.

Then there is a semi-automatic version I am working on. It is an almost identical rifle with semi-auto lower receiver.

Can uppers and lowers be swapped between Portuguese and sudanese contract guns?

Can a current ar10/sr25 variant upper/lower fit an original ar10?
