Let's see some pic's of your SxS's & O/U's

Received a text this week from Chris(CJ Dawe) to say my circa late 70's Ithaca import era Perazzi TMS restoration and wood upgrade was completed. I can't wait to see it in hand and get back out on the trap range with it. I'll post more pics once I have it in hand. I know it had some frustrating moments for both Chris and I but I'm glad he persevered through it and didn't give up on it.

Beautiful assortment of hammers Pinfire. I would guess numbers 45 and 46 but can't pick a third one.
Your eagle eyes win the prize, Ashcroft. The third one is number 47, on a Belgian gun, which is hardly different at all from the English styles, except perhaps by the engraving pattern extending onto the nose. By the late 1860s and 1870s the English styles and patterns influenced Continental guns.

Will be sending this recent acquisition to CJ Dawe at the conclusion of the trap shooting season(I quit Sept 1 to hunt). Another early Ithaca import Perazzi. 1971 mfg type 3 MX8 trap w/32" pro-ported Briley thin wall choked barrels. I'll be sending it for a complete restoration and wood upgrade. Without a doubt the nicest doubles trap gun I've ever used.

What adj comb hardware was used on the TMS?

Looks very well done.

It's factory. That's a brand new Perazzi factory stock that was given to me free with the gun when I bought it. It was made for a TMX but fits a TM1/TMS as well. Just needed a little bit of relief at the wrist to fit it properly. Found out a fellow I sent it to who charged a good sum to do it never did it! He just charged me for work he didn't do. Chris discovered it when he took the gun apart and corrected it for me. I have half a notion to go after the other guy and try to get my $ back!

Just messing around this morning. Thought I would get them all out for an airing and a little careful maintenance. Hunting season is rapidly approaching. The ones near the back still have work to be done. They are all shootable, and get shot, except for my Sauer & Sohn sidelock (badly broken wrist) and the big Henri Pieper sidelock at the back (horrible restock, I bought it years ago because I love the original finish Damascus barrels.....one day it will get the new stock it deserves).

From the top:
Henri Pieper 12 gauge sidelock 30" 8 pounds 3 oz
Sauer & Sohn 12 gauge sidelock 29.5" 6 pounds 6 oz

At this rate, Canvasback, you’ll soon be past ´entry level’...

Seriously, that’s a fine collection of treasures. When are you going to add a hammer gun to round things out?

The wood on the Charles Daly is breathtaking, as is the Ideal.

Funny you should ask that Steve. I was looking at a bar in wood Purdey hammer in need of some TLC just this past week. It has very nicely done sleeved and re-proofed barrels and could handle modern loads. I'm rolling it around in my head at the moment.

The Sauer will get done next year and i have the blank for it. I think it will get vaulted into the ranks of "pretty nice wood" in my collection.

John, do you have an ETA?

I'm jonesing for a SxS meet. Damn covid!

I assume this week, depending on Canada Post. I'm missing the SxS classic very much. Makes me realize how blessed we have been with that event up until now. The Lindner might have won honourable mention almost for sure this year but that's the way it goes.
