Let's see some pic's of your SxS's & O/U's

Unfortunately it came while we were down south on our annual bird safari so no, not on birds yet.
I did get it out for some clays however and it is very fast to the shoulder and the barrels have been re-choked perfectly for a gun to be shot over a pointer! :>)

This gun just came to me recently -- a Ithaca Model 400E in 12ga Skeet. I found out that the 400 series skeet are fairly rare in that of the 250, 400's imported into North America only 6 were 20ga skeet and 6 12ga skeet. Was told the reasoning was because if the large price difference between these and the basic 100's. The skeet models have grade III/IV wood with 100% arabesque engraving on the receiver and barrel wedges. Not sure is I will keep this one or not -- probably will. Actually this was the first pheasant taken over my new pup this morning.

Georgeous SKB ! Nice to see a pic of it since your thread about it coming.

Do I see the infamous SKB SxS crack in the stock head c/t the upper receiver scallop ?

Nice SKB indeed. IMO, the only component that makes an otherwise pretty sxs conspicuously ugly is the full beavertail. No offence, G. :)

Yes, I see it in the picture but it's not visible to the naked eye -- Ill take the stock off and take the appropriate preventative measure before it gets going.

Bumping this one up with a pic of a new-to me MAS 16 gauge.:>)

Is that a French SxS? Its a beauty.

Any recommendations for buying an affordable but well made SxS? I presently shoot grouse with a '50s Franchi O/U trap with a low rib. Beautiful gun but gets a bit heavy after a while.

Points like a dream though.

Spanish Ladies ..

I have had the little #4 DELUXE boxlock for 3 years now(top) .... I love shooting that 28bore ... A special gun that was one a favourite of a friend who has since passed.

Recently I added to the fleet by purchasing a 1973 AyA #1 in 12bore. 26" barrels (detachable sidelock) Haven't fired her yet...but soon! Its a shame the wood is so plain :) (The downside was I had to give up a couple from my collection to pay the admission price on this 1 :(

Very nice #1 AYA and great wood. ;) I 'think' I've seen a relative to it, from England.

This old girl followed me home for Christmas. GE Lewis & Sons 16ga Hammer gun, made 1941, 28" barrels, 2 3/4" chambers, rebounding dolphin style hammers, side clips, Greener style cross bolt and still tight as new with 75% case colors. Can't wait to shoot her -- loading up some spreaders foe Boxing Day. Happy Christmas to all!

BSS's again ....

I never would have guessed a couple years ago when I asked a general question to this forum *what would a decent SxS be for goose hunting * that I would have become a BSS fanatic, but...

These Brownings are well made, shoot extremely well and now I have discovered that the more common 26" guns shoot as well and handle nicer than the 30's.

I liked my 12ga/ 26"/ sporter so much, when I found another ........ I bought it! Here's the pair.
