Let's see some pic's of your SxS's & O/U's

Very nice, indeed. And a lovely leather two gun case to set it off. Take the money you saved and paint those Muskoka chairs.
Let's go shooting sometime.

I thought you'd like that touch, John. Can't paint the Adirondak chairs......if you go back to my first posts in this thread you can trace my house moves and the paint deterioration. It's history, man!

BTW, John, I like that case so much I bought another that will hold up to 32" barrels with a rib extension. Getting delivery sometime in August. Don't know if it will be in quite as good condition as the one I got from you but it looks not bad and it has almost the exact same embossed pattern on the side leather. I am now set for gun cases. Only other ones I intend to acquire will come with a gun. Mind you, Patrick did show me a pretty nice looking new production case.....quite unique looking while still traditional. He has better google powers than I do.....or more time to goof off at his desk.

Are we still on for late August....Patrick says it's a go for that club around Cambridge?

If it doesn't rain tomorrow it's likely shots will be fired with intent to destroy....clays!

Beautiful gun James. The barrels and the stocks look phenomenal. Cant wait to see it in person tomorrow.

Now that made me laugh!!

Nice gun, and now I'm interested in hearing more about the case.

BB, the case in the photo is a two gun, break down case I bought from Londonshooter at our annual SxS shoot in early June. I have about 7 other cases in a variety of styles but nothing like this. And John was offering it at what I consider to be an extremely fair price and while it's used, all the leather and all the stitching is in perfect condition. It will last longer than me, that's for sure. When I packed up my guns that day, I put two of them in my new vintage case and knew almost instantly that this was the style of case I'd been looking for for my long distance hunting trips. As John pointed out when I bought it, the only drawback to that particular case is it will only hold max 28" barrels, assuming a barrel extension. So I found a similar case in the US that will hold 32" barrels and bought that. Two cases, four guns......Nebraska here I come!

That Remington looks beautiful James. Spectacular work by Chris. The stock is amazing.

And the case is cool too....I guess the one you will have by the end of August is the one acting as the 'stork' for my new 95 year old duck gun?

Hey guys this is my first real double. It's an Anson and Deeley boxlock made by William Rochester Pape of Newcastle in 1899. I have had it out to shoot skeet and it shoots beautifully. Full and modified, the barrels appear to have been reblacked quite nicely. What's very interesting is the original owners name is imprinted on the leather case and with a bit of research I found another Canadian Gun Nut member who has a very nice Pape from 1906 with the same name imprinted on the leather case.
