^it's safe to say that we'd all take a helicopter over the KSG.

Except the AFG on the pump.

The AFG is the best fore end accessory bar none on the KSG. Vertical grips are for metropolitan ninjas and associated types, they also have a tendency to break the KSG fore end rails.
Check link for vid of how fast the KSG shoots coupled with the AFG. The AFG also doesn't snag on everything like a vertical, and operates the pump smoother due to less fore end leverage, a force pumps don't like.

I've always liked them.
I basically keep my hand in that position when I shoot my buddies AR with a VFG.
He does as well. I'll have to ask him why he doesn't have an AFG...
Thank god I had this. It was basically the only thing stopping sasquach from getting some bush rape, this past weekend.
I heard through the grapevine that he's starting an alliance with Yeti, the lizard man and the Zombies. Could be a cause for concern.

Meanwhile, in the "old school" neck of the woods, here's my latest work-over
on a Winchester 1400 I scooped a while back. I replaced the recoil pad with
a Limbsaver unit, brought back the barrel to 19", tuned the trigger to 3lbs. and
installed a set of Vang Comp ghost ring sights w/tritium front post.
I also refinished the stock with Tru-Oil and lengthend the forcing cone as well as
Flex-Honed the bore. This gun only holds 3 rounds including 1 in the chamber, but
I"ve got no worries with that. This gun be more practical than tactical.

Very nice - not enough old Winchesters on the picture thread. I did essentially the same thing less the GR sights with a Remington 58, including lengthening the forcing cone and polishing the bore. On the down side it's a Magnum and only works with 3" - on the up side 3" buckshot is awesome as are 3" slugs!!!
