Lets see some pics of your Tacticool VZ 58/858s

like i said.. kick start

-grab the barrel ( or handguard if the barrell is too hot )
-rifle butt on the round
-and stomp on the charging handle like you're kicking a bike

had to do it to the M14 in the middle of a service match

I'd take the mag out first.

Here it is, the perfect CZ (at least for now ;)).

NEA Heavy Brake
NEA Barrel Clamp Rail, canted to use as light mount
NEA handguard set
NEA 4" rail segment with QD swivel
NEA ambi selector
Neit Arms Tactical Bolt Release
Neit Arms modified bolt carrier, with LH charging handle and anti-gremlin tab
Dlask extended mag release
Bushnell TRS-25 red dot sight
Fenix TK-10 LED light, 60/225 Lumen output
Original SOE 2 pt bungee sling
Fab Defense pistol grip, finger groove ground off and amateurishly stippled
Wal-mart lime green duct tape

Suitable for plinking, 3 gun, training courses, and social events like the coming zombie-pocalypse.:ar15:

f**k steveo... that's nice.

did you just get the NEA brake? IIRC you had another brake on that... is the flash/noise x100 times the awesome?

Thanks.:)

I've had it pretty much since they hit the shelves. Before that I had the NEA hybrid on. It's more a flash suppressor than a brake and I wanted to run the brake for 3 gun. The hybrid is on my other 858 now.

I don't find it that much louder to shoot. It's louder to the sides, but I don't find it as bad as the Czech military brake.. It does move a lot of gas to the sides, though. I just about knocked the ball cap of my buddy's head when he was shooting beside me with his AR. I haven't shot it in the dark so I don't know about the flash..........yet. :)

Thanks!

Stevo, your idea of using the NEA barrel clamp as a light mount (@ 10 O'Clock) was pure genius! It works great for me as well with my TLR-1. I never did get around to making the barrel clamp fit properly with my gas block so this was an awesome option :) I use a thumb over bore type grip with just a couple fingers on the actual vertical grip and my thumb is placed just under the light switches. Thumb down for constant on or quick flick up for flash. Great idea, thank you Sir!

Necessity is the mother of invention. I wanted the light but didn't have an offset ring to put on the lower handguard side rail. Actually, it accidentally rotated to the side when I was installing it for a front sight, and the idea came from that:dancingbanana:.

I usually start with my hand out forward, but after the first mag change I end up gripping the lower handguard and magazine. The position of my light keeps it within easy reach, but not so close that I bump the switch when I don't intend to.

I guess I might not have the "perfect" rifle yet. I'm looking forward to seeing the new NEA AR adaptor and skele-stock.:runaway:

she's just about done. just looking for an ambidextrous bolt carrier and off to 3 gun:D

If you install one of Neit's bolt releases you'll find the only time you need to run the bolt is when you load it (starting from a closed bolt), have a malfunction, or need to unload. It makes mag changes much faster.

yuh i want it for IA's. i have the bolt catch and loving it, its pretty much a necessity for speed reloading and such

Keep the folder. One of the biggest attractions, for me anyway, is the compactness of the short barreled models. You lose some of that with a fixed stock. Then again, I like the folder. YMMV.

I'm with Stevo that shorty is sweet as all get out with a folder.
Especially with that AK grip.
Can anyone spell AKSU.
You should try and find some kind of triangleish AK74/AKSU folding stock for it.
