Why is it that we still don't have a proper krinkov VZ ?

Couple more pics of Stage 2 of the rifle. I have frt and rear flip sights although the frt wasn't on in the pics. I now have it set up for flip iron sights, scope, red dot and holographic green dot sight. The pics here are of the low mount scope and scope on quad rail w/rear flip sight on. I'll get more pics of all the different set up very soon. The frt original sight has been removed since these pics and a Hybrid muzzle brake added. Will be shortening the mags soon also. More pics to come.

It is angled but only on the one side. I wondered why it was done like that.If that rail is flat on the bottom it's going to cause lots of stoppages.
Not only does the bottom rail has to be angled but also the extractor needs to be modified to change the ejection angle to. With that done it is very reliable.Looks awesome, but Stevo is right... It will not function too well unless the bottom of the rail is angled, and even then you will have stoppages time to time.. this kind of mounts are good on AKs due to side ejection. But over all looks really good.
Excellent advice on making it work properly. Don't suppose you'd happen to know if a gunsmith on the lower mainland (Vancouver) has done it before??Not only does the bottom rail has to be angled but also the extractor needs to be modified to change the ejection angle to. With that done it is very reliable.
This is from first hand knowledge from a guunsmith company that has produced an actual working model.
