pipe insulation

Nice looking shooter. Get some pipe insulation for the folder. Get some 1/2 " dark grey colored pipe insulation that is cut lengthwise that has a adhesive strip with plastic that peels off and the two pieces adhere to eachother. Home depot Is where I got mine. It's been on my folder for 2 years and still going strong.

Now they carry what looks like a rubberized pipe insulation. It's about $7 but matte black and looks way better with better quality as well.

Just need a laser sight and light for it. I got rid of the red dot and put on an NcStar 1.5-4x mildot. Yes, I know. But I figure for the price it would stand up with a Cz.

I also had a machine shop put a cocking handle on the left side. Cost me $75.

This will be MUCH better, my score should improve at CQB.

Ambi bcg

In pace paratus!

How did they fasten that BCG handle. What kind of instrucoins did you give the machine shop. How's it holding up? I have also been thinking of getting that done.

Actually I'm not sure. When I talked with the guy who was going to do it he said he may have to weld it. Thought threading it was also an option. By looking at it it looks like they threaded is in. He was worried at first that the metal would be too hard. Guess it wasnt. It's quite secure.

I was going to take it out today to zero, but it's raining. Tomorrow.

Hopefully he didn't just weld it. I was checking out review of an American made ambi BCG on another forum and pretty much everyone that used it had the extra handle break off as is was only welded. I think one of the NEA guys even commented on it. Just be sure to wear your eye pro. Please let us know how it goes.
