That is exactly what I was trying to build... same everything... except barrel. When it came down to it I even BOUGHT the friggin barrel blank! But not one could make (or would make) the barrel!!

That rail is pretty high, but it looks like you should be able to remove the bolt and carrier without removing the optic rail.
