Lets see your rifles with peep sights

True the Lee speeds were great rifles though
Yes definitely. But the Lee boot has a design flaw no one talks about. They jam up horribly with snow. I’ve had my Rosses in some brutal fall whiteouts and they don’t seem to freeze closed like the Lees do. I had a Parker Hale Standard No4 freeze up so bad I had to use my knife to scrape the bolt clean so it would open. The Ross bolt head is encased when it is in battery, and seems less affected. Mind you, if it was soaking wet and the temps dropped at dusk I bet either one would freeze.

True wasn't expecting that with the ross since the rifles jammed in the mud of the trenches.

Here's my grandfathers rifle I inherited. An 1896 dated Lee Enfield carbine sportered with original front sight and Lyman peep. A delight to carry and still shoots well. Fastest safety for woods hunting imo. If this one had notches for kills there wouldn't be much stock left.
I have a similar rifle ,one of my favourite hunting rifles my BSA Lee Speed in 303IMG_1635.jpeg
