Wish I never sold my XCR-L But the wiggle in the folding buttstock and the absolutely garbage cheek piece was too much for me.. Shoulda just replaced it with a fixed butt oh well... Live an learn.
I always like to see Contenders being used fun little walk about guns.

42 what is your load for those 110gr V-Max I am getting 2750 from my 22" barreled Rem 700 Light Tactical with the same bullet and 30gr H322 loaded to 2.33" OAL.
Looks like you may have wrapped the forend/barrel a bit tight.
I have had issues with point of aim shifting in the past when I did it that tight.
I now only wrap it loosely in that area so it has no chance of shifting POI.
CZ 527 Ebony Burris timberline scope 4.5-14x32 .223 deadly !!!!
I'm using 27.5 grains of H322...2.30 OAL. I found my groups started opening up as my powder load went up. Getting consistent 1" groups at 200 yards, so I went for accuracy over velocity.

Then I am luckier than you I am getting with the 110gr V-Max an average of 7/8" 3 shot 200 yard groups with my 30gr H322 COL 2.33" @ 2786fps average velocity and I'm not even weighing each charge just powder measure dropping charges directly into the cases.
My extreme spreads are only 29.35 fps with this load.
Here is my Rem 700 Light Tactical it now has a Leupold VX111 4.5-14X40mm LR (30mm tube) side focus Varmint reticle scope on it.

No newer model basically it is a matte blued version of the REMINGTON 700 LVSF (LIGHT VARMINT STAINLESS FLUTED) rifle.
It came from the factory exactly like this I understand that it was never really listed in Remington's catalog or website took me a while to even figure out that it is called a Light Tactical model.
I bought the rifle used this fall and it is definitely a newer model considering it is chambered in 6.8spc which is a fairly new round.
Other than the Timney trigger this is how it came from the factory definitely not many of these ever made its a very rare rifle/cartridge combo.
