WE ARE NOW TAKING REGISTRATION FOR THE LONG RANGE CHALLENGE /09

THIS IS A SNIPER/SPOTTER SHOOT( 2 man teams)

WHEN- may 15/16/17/2009 friday and saturday will be QUALIFIYING days for any teams that would like to compete. YOU CAN ONLY SHOOT 1 OF THE 2 QUALIFIYING DAYS. sunday we will take the top 9 high scores from the two qualifiying days and they will go on to a SHOOTOUT to see who will be the LONG RANGE CHALLENGE/09 WINNERS.

WHERE- the shoot will take place at the GENNESSE range west of edmonton.
none members will need to pay an additional$3 for insurance

COURSE OF FIRE- you will need 60 rnds per team (30 each) if you make it to sundays shootout your team will need an additional 60 rnds ( 30 each)
so bring a minimum of 60rnds each

ROUND ONE- will be shot in the prone position ( first shot 700m cold bore) 10min time limit
ROUND TWO- simulated rooftop ( first shot 600m walikg man) 10 min time limit
ROUND THREE-window shoot ( list of designated targets to be shot) 15 min time limit
ROUND FOUR- prone position ( list of designated targets to be shot) 15 min time limit
15 BULLETS PER ROUND ( each team member will shoot 2 of the 4 rounds)

DISTANCES -400m to 700m

TARGETS- all targets are reactive steel flipdown targets.
there will be 1/2 moa/ 1moa/2moa/3moa square plates
fullsize steel mantargets/ chest shot only mantargets/headshot only targets
AND THE WALKING MAN WILL BE UP AND RUNNING WITH OUT ANY GLITCHES

CALIBRES- NO 50'S / 338'S OR ULTRA MAGS. I WILL ALLOW ANY WILDCAT CATRIGES THAT WILL NOT PUNCH A HOLE IN 1/2 INCH MILD STEEL AT 400M. IF YOU BRING ONE THAT WILL THE GUN WILL BE PULLED (NO EXCEPTIONS)

ENTRANCE FEE- the fees will be $100 per shooter ($200 per team)
every shooter will recive a tee shirt with all the SPONSORS logo's on it.
ALL ENTRANCE FEES WILL BE PAID WITHIN ONE WEEK OF REGISTERING. fees will be paid by cheque to myself.

PRIZES- all prizes and sponsors are to be announced as they come in.
we will draw for all prizes on sunday may 17/09 after the sunday shootout.
( this will mean that shooters from qualifiying days that dont make the sunday shootout will need to comeout for sunday night for awards and prizes)
THIS WILL BE THE BIGGEST EVENT WE HAVE RUN TO DATE AND FROM WHAT SPONSORS ARE SAYING WE SHOULD HAVE AN EXCELLENT PRIZE TABLE WITH EVERY TEAM FROM FIRST TO LAST HAVING A CHANCE AT TOP PRIZES.

Mutt always puts on a good shoot. I can't wait to shoot. I don't really like the speed round though. The shoot should be about accuracy not how fast you can shoot. Thanks again Mutt for all your hard work.
 
i should mention
if you are local( edmonton area) there is a really good chance you will need to shoot friday im going to give saturday spots to teams that travel far distances.(bc/sask/fortmac and so on) this is so teams traveling far distances dont have to get a hotel room an extra day. there is also camping available 5 min from the range and im going to apply for a permit to let us camp at the range. so if any locals can really help me out and try to shoot friday that will be greatly appreciatd.

ps the teams that make sunday are in for some hard shooting

Well after a few pm's ive decided to change the time on the rounds. firsts and second will be 10min each and third and fourth will be 15min each. we will save the short time limits for sunday.
 
18 teams entered only 12 spots left. i will call all teams entered tommorrow(fri) to confirm and give info on where to send entrance form. thanx
