Long Range Challenge/09 Edm/alta *Updated with Entry Form in post #14*

run what ya brung!!
SUNDAY WILL GO DOWN LIKE THIS
we will begin shooting at 12pm sunday ( try to be there 30min early)
ROUND ONE
will be shot in the prone position with both sniper and spotter taking cold bore shots at 600m. the target will be a mantarget that when it falls over will stand up another target for the sniper to shoot. ( shots must be fired within 10 seconds of each other) then the shooter will continue the round. 12mins for this round
ROUND TWO
this round will be shot off of two barrels ( 1 horizontal and 1 vertical)
spotter will shoot a plate at 500m that will fall over to reveal a smaller plate for the sniper to shoot. ( simulated breaking glass) shots will be fired within 10 sec of eachother
shooter will then go on to shoot 6 bullets off of vertical drum and 7 bullets off of horizontal drum. 12 min for this round
ROUND THREE
will be shot in the prone position with both shooters shooting 10 bullets each. a list of targets and what order they will be shot in will be provided. THIS ROUND WILL HAVE ALOT OF MAKE IT OR BREAK IT TARGETS meaning if you make the shot you will be rewarded but if you miss you will be penalized. EXAMPLE the new mantargets have another head on them so they simulate a hostage target. hit the hostage you loose points.
NEW TARGETS
mantargets (hostage/villan)
mantargets with falling chest plate
fall down stand up ( when target falls it stands another one up)
and we might make 1/2 moa targets for each distance
I HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE TO EVERYONE AND IF THERE IS ANYOTHER OUESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK.

HOPE EVERYONE HAS BRING PRACTICING AND ALL TEAMS ENTERED NEED TO PM ME WITH THERE SHIRT SIZES FOR BOTH TEAM MEMBERS BY THE END OF THE WEEK.

300WM re-barreled with Rock Creek Goodness,,, the new "Green Bastard" stock (last minute preplacement, you'll have to wait and see), and a personal touch by the man himself
I guess that means I'll be able to come and play now. The knock off Dakota can play with the real one
Mutt, sounds great! Looking forward to coming out for the shoot. Sounds like its gonna be fun.

I hate to say it, but I haven't shot since last year.....so don't expect to much competition. I've only had the .308's out twice and havent even gotten them properly doped past 500yrds
. That's what happens when you move to a farm and work up north....time is to short. I may have to bring the .300 Dakota out to be competitive cause I know that baby well, but I had the .308's built for this competition and others so I better get familiar quick.....Maybe C4 or Troy will send me thier ballistic charts so I can get a base line and dialed in and get to practice the one weekend I get off before the match. They have Identical rifles and we use the same load so help me out guy's and I'll bring the beer.Nice work on the barrel.... we will see how much of a shocker you realy are though!!

Its all the gun brother,,,, I can't hit the broad side of a barn. See, I figure if I can't shoot to save my life, my gun has to look good. That way at least I "look" like I belong at the range.
If I owned that Dakota, it would be making an appearance. I could shoot it for you???

And it pains me to say.....Black cloud is playing humble, the boy can shoot!! and there aren't many in his line of work you can say that about!!

Hey WTF is all this talk about not being able to shoot??? Where am I going to find a partner to shoot with in such short notice now?? I even helped build a gun that would improve your chances of hitting a target. Mutt, is it too late to change shooting partners??
Mutt I'll take a Large because I'm dimensionally 'larger' then Black Cloud.
He'd still kick my azz though because he's been trained to fight dirty. Perks of the job I guess. LOL

Bull$hit and lies. I shoot right handed, am right eye dominant and my right eye is made of glass!Add to which my right index finger is fake, and I have a wooden leg and I'm not left with much.LRC was drinking heavily last time we shot, his memory isn't that good. You boys have nothing to worry about. Troy will have to carry me through the match.
On that note, Troy will be going out to practice now. I hate always having to carry my shooting partner through a match. It's really stressing.

Troy, I know we went through this once before but you gotta run this by me again. So the case goes in the reloading press, but now,,,,, does the pointy part of the bullet go inside the case??
$hit, i cAn'T rEmeMbER. Anyhow, we all know that LRC owns the "magic wand", the 300WM Dakota. Targets run scared, women flock to see it, masses of people bow down. That gun is so freaking accurate you can shoot the d*ck off a hummingbird with it. He's the one playing modest,,,,, if he brings out that gun we all might as well go home.
The last time I shot with him, he sat in a lawn chair drinking Appletons (and like a true gentleman, he doesn't ruine it with pop), mean while the 300WM Dakota shot by itself. Once finished, the gun cleaned itself, advised him it hit all targets, then packed itself back in the case.I WANT ONE

Now that's true envy. He really does have the ultimate boom stick. He'll probably surprise us too by coming to the shoot in incredible shape. He's sandbagging us with all this talk of work. He's probably training his brains out for this. It wouldn't surprise me either. He goes and buys a chunk of property and talks about how much work it is. Has anyone even really seen his place. He's probably kitted the place out with fox holes dug by hand, sandbagged bunkers and steel gooks hiding in the bushes at the far end of property just waiting to get the camo paint blown off both sides. Call it envy, I call it preparing for the end. Lucky Bast**d!!!
