Hey all,

I'm almost complete with my AR build and I'm having trouble locating a good muzzle brake. Seems like most of the 'best' stuff from the states isn't stocked or rather rare to find up in Canada.

I want muzzle control, not so much a flash hider. Going on a 16" barrel, 1/2"x28 threads, mostly target / bench shooting. I've seen the NEA Crusader brake, is anyone running this, any opinions?
Under $100ish, will go more for a really nice one. If possible please provide a link, who sells it, or PM me with the info if you want.

Thanks in advance.

Ah.. forgot to add if you could provide the link, or PM it to me if you want. Probably looking in the $70 range, maybe $100 tops if it's night and day for control and performance.

Yankee Hill Phantom 5C2. $30 Best Muzzle Device hands down.

Some people think you have to spend $100's like the advertisers and high Paid 'experts' say.

Arms East installs them as a stock option.

I run a Miculek-style brake on my 'Rinco M14, I got it from an eBay seller for about $25.US.
I don't know how it'd work on .223; but bored-out for a .30 cal bullet, it works very well.
There is also an eBay seller named "darkmetal-design". I have one of their H&K-type brakes; but I'm waiting for it to get installed on my .338WinMag before I recommend it.

I have the JP Enterprises muzzle brake. (not the recoil eliminator)

Best brake period. I can shoot off a rest with one hand and neither the gun, nor the muzzle moves.

If you're in the area, you're welcome to try it.
