Looking for oppinions

Ill look closer at CZ. Ive seen some of thier offerings and they look great but ive learned the hard way over the years that looks are more often than not, decieving.
Also lets just pretend i didnt say it was gonna be for home defense, its getting WAY out of hand lol

Not trying to cause problems guys, im not a troll lol, just looking for some advise.

I chose the guns i did based on 2 things. Online reviews and price. Based on the reveiws all of my choices are top notch but online reviews are not always reliable and id MUCH rather get advise on a public forum or even at the range.
I LOVE 1911s....i have a Tanfoglio Witness in .177 (bb gun) and as far as i can tell its as close as you can get to the real thing. But im worried about the draw. I want to do some tactical shooting so drawing from a holster is a concern and i assumed the shorter, more compact striker fired options would be more suitable for such activities...obviously i could be wrong. Im not totally opposed to a glock but i like to be an individual and do something different against the norm. Glock pricing is a BIT of a concern, they seem to be on the higher end of what ive been looking at and id REALLY like to stay in the tripple digits which is why im not looking at MOST 1911s and glocks. Also keep in mind that my wife will also be using the gun and shes small and never used a handgun other than my pellet guns. Im comfortable using a .45acp but i figure 9mm or .40 would be i bit more managable for her....at least to start with.
Again, thanks for the advise its very much appreciated!

I'll take the shared pistol issue on:
It is really important to get a pistol that fits. Whatever you buy will not fit both you and your wife. (I'm assuming you have average hand size)
The M&P 2.0 is good and may be OK for your wife with the small backstrap. The only issue will be the aggressive stippling...She won't like it. Mine doesn't.
The Glock 17 (gen 5) is great but has a thick grip - I use the ML back strap on the M&P but no back strap at all with the G17 - So she won't like it.
I know a few people that own the 320. They like them. You can buy a small frame that may fit your wife's hand. Not too expensive. But some surgery required for switchover.
The PPQ M2 grip is too big for my wife to properly manipulate the slide.
I hear good things about SFP9. Great grip customization. Could be a winner but you'd have to like it...
The Fns look sweet but extra mags will be required if you get into competition. (like IDPA) And mags can be espensive for the fn/ppq/sfp9
The cheaper 226 is sweet, and for some reason fits a womans x-small hands. But you may like the legion better...It has fat grips :)
So tough choice for you.
Maybe buy what you like then get a S&W Victory .22 - She will love it. And I suggest it over the Ruger mk IV because of the grip/frame size. The Victory is smaller and comes with better sites.

Not sure if you are mostly leaning towards striker fired polymer guns (as per your original list), but a CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow will fit small hands and does all that you require of it for a good price.
New can be had for $860, used for around $750.

I was leaning toward striker fired but im open to anything thats gonna perform. I brought up the CZ website and like the look of the p10 c. Has a cold hammer forged barrel which seems to be consistantly on higher end guns from what ive seen so far. The price is right on that one too but you guys are right, if it doesnt "fit" then its doing me no good. I guess the bottom line is i just have to go handle as many as possible and go from there.

The cz 75 sp01 looks like a real beauty, ill definately be checking it out as well as the p10.

A bit worried about Norinco, there seems to be a bad rap regarding quality. Just from the little bit of reading ive done about them

Maybe you should chill out a little bit. Section 28 of the firearms act lists four authorized reasons for acquiring a restricted firearm, and reason number one is the protection of life. Every single time I acquire a restricted I tell them I am acquiring it for all permitted purposes under the firearms act, including protection of life. The CFO never objects.

Only gun owners whose minds have been brainwashed by decades of liberal social engineering have a problem with owning guns for self defense.

I've got to remember this.....

OP as to your question I've only tried a S&W M&P off your list, but I have also fired a SIG226. The M&P was interesting enought that I have it on my some day list.....

CZ75 SP-01 is a real honey -- I would like to get one some day.

The M&P 2.0 is exceptional value with an incredible grip and good build quality. It's my only pistol and so far it hasn't missed a beat. It feels better and better as it breaks in, too.

Well, if you like actually hitting your target go with the Walther PPQ. If you like not being able to hit anything go anything else.

Sincerely,
Walther Fanboy

Forget about cz75 family, most likely your wife won't be able to rack due to small slide surface. Glocks are reliable but probably most outdated pistols. Out of your shortlist I have experience with m&p 2.0 and I like it. Bottom line try to handle the gun before you buy, both you and wife. Hold it, aim, rack, release slide, drop the mag .. If you can comfortably hold the gun most likely you will shoot fine with it

My wife is 100lbs and 5" nothing and refuses to shoot any of my 9s, even the single stacks. Her grandfathered PPK (12)6 fits her perfectly but it turns out she hates shooting that because of slide bit but she loves her 1911-380 Black Label because of the extended beaver tail. She is a weird one though because she also loves da/sa wheel guns in 38sp. Moral of the story, you will not find a gun that will fit both you and your wife the same way and find one that both will equally enjoy shooting.

In decending order, the top 5 9s in my vault are 5, Hi Power. 4, px4. 3, Sphinx. 2, 92fs and 1, sorry can't say, otherwise it will draw attention to it and everyone will want one. All I can say is that it is polymer, striker fired, has a trigger close to my 1911s and is almost half the price of the other 4. Here's another clue, it is not made in China, Turkey or South America.

I just ordered the S&W M&P in 9mm (the range kit) and I have seen nothing but stellar reviews for this line of handguns. I think the 2.0 has just as many people complimenting it as well.

All the firearms you mentioned are great, I have a USP and it is great. Bomb proof reliable, German Overbuilt. That would be my choice but if you are partial to a striker fired trigger, I say that since The USP is the only Hammer Fired on the list I would look at the Walther PPQ. The PPQ M2 Navy and Q5 Match are excellent. They have an excellent reset and in my opinion have the second best out of the box striker fired trigger on the market next to the HK SFP9. I have not seen the FN 509 but have ran atleast a few mags through each on the list. I have owned the HK SFP9 as well but traded it off for the HK P30L which would be a good choice as well. If possible try and find a Range near you that has rentals and more than likely they will have atleast 1 or 2 of the guns you mentioned. That would be my suggestion.

It is my favorite shooter of all time..
