Looking for oppinions

I agree. Every time i see one im reminded of late 80s cop movies. I know they work and theyre reliable and accurate but i just HATE the look of them. They have no style its like the Lada of the gun world.

:)

This is one of the not so old models of Lada for whoever didn't know, so yeah, glocks work exactly as Lada does - reliable for over 20 years no issues, but just ugly :) :

Lol, I thought they were ugly as hell until I actually shot one and realized that the G19 fit my hand perfectly,, now much like an ugly pound puppy, they have grown on me and I like the simplistic ugliness of my Glock. I guess like an ugly child,,,you love them anyway :)

Even Lada realized looks matter, but Glock still lives in denial ;)

Ill look closer at CZ. Ive seen some of thier offerings and they look great but ive learned the hard way over the years that looks are more often than not, decieving.
Also lets just pretend i didnt say it was gonna be for home defense, its getting WAY out of hand lol

I have Owned an Awesome CZ SP 01 Shadow for 7 years now... I have fired it at least 10,000 times with never a problem... No Repairs... Nothing
It will eat anything you feed it from Cheap to High End it does not matter... It Eats it all
Its the only 9mm i own now... I got rid of the rest... My friends that come out to the Range with me Love firing the SP
The CZ SP 01 Shadow Should be on your List...
Cheers

You need to keep in mind that:

Looking for a nice 9mm. Pretty much going to be a multi use gun...target, home defense as well as some tactical shooting excersices.
My short list is as follows:

S&W m&p 2.0
Sig 320
Hk usp
Walther ppq
FN 509

Thats in no particular order....i dont have one or the other im leaning towards.
This will be my first firearm purchase btw

If I had to pick from your list then for me, I'd go with the S&W M&P.

Off the list, for a striker fired pistol my choice would be a Glock. Yeah, ugly, but they work.

NAA.

Ill look into the glock, i think most shops where they offer range access use a 17 or 19 as their standard rental 9mm so it shouldnt be hard to get my hands on one.
After a few youtube vids and some reading, a couple cz offerings are definately on my list. Another i found and havent heard much about is the Beretta APX....not sure about this one but the m9s and 92fs ect have been renowned for quality so how bad could the apx be? Yes its striker fired and they are known for hammer fired pistols but surely Beretta has thier sh*t together and can produce a nice reliable striker fired pistol?
