Looks like the Liberals have every semi MILSURP on the prohib list now.

The only time a 20mm caliber firearm was used in the commission of a crime was once. It was in the late 50’s early 60’s, it was used in a poor attempt to breach as safe in Montreal. The article I read wasn’t very clear if they breached the safe with the Lahti or the oxyacetylene torch. It should be noted though the firearm was smuggled in from the USA. Otherwise I can’t find any other reference to either a 50cal or 20mm be used in any other crimes.

Technically it isn't quite the same but a dewat 50 BMG was used in a Brinks truck armed robbery Montreal 1960s or 1970s. The Brinks driver was a Korean War veteran and staring down its barrel from the back of a cargo van he assumed the worst.

I'm all for getting politically active. Gun hating politicians have been doing the divide and conquer thing to us for decades and most of us fall for it. If it affects one gun owner it is every gunowners business. We can stand together or all hang seperately.

The main issue is that they have now banned one of EVERY kind of gun, so our friends from canadas finest will now be able to ban ANYTHING they want since EVERYTHING will be a variant.

You have a k98? thats a variant of the 1908 or the mauser sporter.

you have ANY bolt action? thats a variant of the weatherby mark v (or whatever they bannend)
