Lol. I don't believe m&m for a second that they hadn't agreed on a price with wantsalls.

This all smacks of a looming price increase and back room shennanigans, inter-dealer sniping, etc.

A little bit of this and a little bit of demand was much higher than anticipated. M+M claims no Canadian msrp has been set yet. I call bull s#it! Wanstalls is a reputable company and wouldn't have set a price based on nothing. If they jack prices up after all the smoke clears I'll guarantee they won't fly off the shelves as fast as the initial pre-order suggested they would. Be a lot of pissed off people here.

If they stick 3 or 4 hundred dollars on for nr tax I'll just stick to my xcr, heck I'll just find another good used one to buy instead of this.

But who knows, it's all speculation right now
 
If this were available in 5.56 I’d be interested even at a higher price. But in 7.62x39, I wouldn’t expect many to sell even at $1600.. That is the tipping point for me, it’s just not my caliber of choice. At $1449, well even sick me can’t turn that down.
 
If this intro price isn't honoured I'll be pretty disappointed. I can understand it being limited and cut off as it was stated in the first post to be a intro price, but if it was announced and not honoured at all that's something else entirely.
 
If there is any NR tax at all they can shove it where the sun don't shine. I'm happy with my XCR's , but I'm very intrigued by M+M products.

I'm also out if the price goes up and I'm on pre order, can't keep my money for not wanting to pay more than initially stated. The only reason I bought it was the price...

That's one of the reasons why I did not take the bait on pre-orders based on speculation. I normally stay away from businesses that only offer store credits and no refunds. Seriously? That's a lot of money trapped and stuck at their store you are forced to shop with them.
