As much as I like the design of M10x and I pre-order one for myself but you can't compare it to a 30 years old battle proven design of type 81. There are flaws in them but they have been long enough to prove it and many little countries are using them until now.

This is tne funniest thing ive read in a while. Battle proven, ha!

Umm.... The t81 is battle proven. The Chinese have used it border clashes and interventions since the early 1980's and it's been adopted by over 20 militaries, many of whom are embroiled in various regional or civil wars.

I love all the uninformed speculation on this thread.
Oh and the platform has been on sale for over 2 years in the states. I don't think adding 2" to the barrel will make us beta testers.

I don't have any loyalty to any store and they don't care about you either. Whoever has the quickest delivery or best price will get the most business.

I also don't think the commitment is huge to import a gun for the RCMP. All the people who preordered the type 81 have had a 1000 dollars tied up for 1.5 years and survived. I'm sure Canada ammo will too.

It's a different story for the modern hunter series and the bcl 102 where they've had to manufacture and design their own firearm. Nobody cried for spyderco when canada ammo copied and produced a Chinese knock off of their tomahawk. If Canada ammo produced a chinese knock off modern hunter people would be buying it regardless of if this was fair. It's business.

Unless you work at canadaammo uninformed speculation is all you will get, but hey 99% of the decisions in this world would be categorized by you the same way, doesnt mean those decisions are wrong.

I know enough about business in this industry to have an opinion with knowing only partial facts, many businesses operate on the premise that the price is whatever the market can support to sell one single unit.

Someone else took that opportunity to make on volume more than one was willing to make on a premium price with low volume. I think mm prefers the high volume option as well.

Well if Canada Ammo was truly going to add $1000 markup to this rifle I've lost some respect for them. I'm perfectly fine with a company marking up the price so they can stay in business but when they simply rape us because they know people will pay it anyway I'm not impressed.

Looks like the rifle would be better suited to integral irons like a SA or APC, looks like the stock is a little low for the rail height. Going to at least need a low mount sight instead of sights and mounts designed for the AR. Looks good though, might be the gun I've been waiting for to give me a reason to buy more x39.

Where? Sorry, I don't go looking on dealer pages for explanation.

Found it, good news.
Glad to hear it, I've always had great service and been very happy with every deal I've done with your company, happy to learn that I can continue to expect the same in the future.

Non restricted black rifle tax. I am kind of anxious to see what the MSRP is going to be. How do you fleece sheep again?

A site sponsor has pre order for $1450 for this rifle.

I would be all over this rifle, if I hadn't just bought a non-restricted CX4. As it is I'll let you fellas work out the bugs with this new platform while I enjoy American made ammunition out of a ten round magazine, and bolt action reliably in 7.62x39 from my CZ527.

$1500.oo is a fair price though...

This rifle has been out for over 2 years already in the states.. I’m sure all the bugs have been worked out (if there was any)

Looks alittle weak and ugly. Price is high for the quality .. we will see I guess..

I am confused...

have you read the review of thefirearmsblog? they gave it stunning reliability and accuracy reviews

price is 1450 which is say better than the price of a vz with a aftermarket stock and handguard, so the price is fair.

I don't feel like getting into internet debates but you are right, unless you work at Canam and Wanstalls it is all a guess.
Canam has been more then patient with the accusations from people that were not there and don't know the facts.
They based their price on the Quote from M&M (like 2 years ago for Christ's sake), not some attempt at gouging like is being stated in 4+ threads.

I have to ask. Are ten round mags a possibility with this rifle?

Are there any "readily available" pistols in Canada that would use those mags? Don't hold your breath. Technically, if someone was to import a pistol version of this rifle, and it used a slightly different magazine (generally different body length) and it held 10 rounds, that would work. Since it doesn't look like we're even getting a restricted version of this rifle, I'm guessing getting a pistol version isn't happening either. The maker would have to design and build the pistol, and then it's a crap shoot with the lab to see if they'd allow the mag. Too many "maybes". Most of the MPX's in the country are technically the "pistol" version with stocks attached after manufacture, but the lab says they get 5 rounders, so they're redefining things on the fly again.

It's amazing that you can form an opinion of the quality and value just from a couple pictures and a video.
$1500 is Kel-tec, Norinco, NEA price range, doesn't get any cheaper than that, what do you think would be a fair price?
Not being able to afford something or having your wife say no does not make something overpriced :p

This is the holy grail for NR in my opinion.

Careful, you leave nowhere to go but down and risk being disappointed. Just read the APC threads to see how it goes getting too excited about something without ever putting hands on product.
For all we know Luckybeer may be right and the plastic may feel like a kids toy instead of the quality polymer used in other guns.

Thanks for the info. I didn't think there was any "AK type" pistols in Canada, but wanted to make sure.

Now im curious how well the M10x will do with corrosive ammo...
