M&p15-22

this is my favorite argument ever.
why? because i have been driving since i was 12. cars, trucks, vans, grain trucks, 5th wheels, swathers, bobcats, motorcycles you get the picture?
no license.
how? because it was on our land.

if the powers that be want to treat guns like cars, i'm fine with that, as soon as they take my license/registration fees and start building me ranges and shooting facilities just like they do with cars

in the meantime on private land i get to do what i want, and i want to shoot a BREN gun.....

This convo is actually going on in two spots..... Sorry for the confusion, but the bulk of this discussion is done int he "Firearms Politics" section here -->

I have since revised my statements, and I most certainly agree with your statement about building ranges etc. Keep the good debate going!

I took this photo at Cabela's in Billings Montana.

Here's a closeup of the price the Americans pay for this, cheapo prices and concealed carry down there, they are living the dream,I'm still trying to talk my wife into moving down there and becoming citizens :)

I see $925, shipping included, but it doesn't state the make and model though. I just spent $3000 on my ar15, but the guy before me pimped it out nice.

This is VERY interesting;

[46] In particular, there has been no delegation by Parliament to the Canadian Firearms Centre, which keeps the FRT, to decide which firearms are considered to be unnamed variants of the AK-47. The fact that at some point in time, perhaps even very recently, the Armi Jager AP80 data was added to the FRT, does not provide it with any legal effect. The courts have been left with the responsibility to decide, in cases such as Mr. Henderson’s, what is a variant and what is not.

As far as Im concerned, yes they do.

As AWESOME as they are, full auto weapons have no practical purpose other than killing people.

And Armor piercing rounds are the same, no purpose except to kill humans wearing armor.

...and there you have it ladies and gentlemen! 30 years of left-wing, Trudeau initiated, Liberal social re-engineering in action! Gun owners spouting the same tripe as the gun grabbers!

Where are the vast majority of disinterested/disengaged Canadian gun owners going to pull their collective head out of their asses and realize that there are no good or bad guns, only good or bad owners! This self-interested apathy, along with hostility toward other classes/types of fireams is what keeps the Liberals and the Coalition for Gun Control in business.

As Ben Franklin said, "...If we don't hang together, we'll surely hang separately!"

I wonder what Cpynch will say once he gets the knock on his door from NWEST in the future...NWEST, of course, there to collect his hunting/target rifles and shotguns since the state no longer deems hunting or target shooting sufficient reason to continue owning "weapons of death!"

The FA, Black Gun Guys, and Handgun owners probably would've rallied behind him, but they were sold out by their "fellow" gun owners having the same opinions as Cpynch years before...now its Cpynch's turn! Too bad there won't be any gun owners left to stand up for you buddy!

that's really sad :( I don't hunt, I don't like it personally, but that doesn't mean I won't fight for the hunters out there so they can keep doing what they enjoy. I mostly like assault rifles and handguns, but if the gun-grabbers go after hunting rifles, it scares me to think that they will come after my guns, so i will support those who have interests other than mine.

Well said F79! We are all one and we need to show that.

As for the M&P15-22, my friend turned me onto this rifle just days ago. I want one big time!

The wait is on for both of us (he's been waiting way longer)

Thanks John; interesting read to say the least.

The judge was certainly reasonable and reached (In my opinion) the only conclusion that current legislation could have provided.
It's going to be interesting to see what the appeal might conclude.
Interpretation being 9/10th of the solution, of course!
The legislation being as ambiguious as it is, is likely to lead to another black hole for the rest of us.
