M&P15 Sport II

So, you agree that cold hammer forged chrome lined barrel is superior? Right. And we don't need to pay extra money for such chrome lined barrel in the case of Norinco AR 15.

Chrome lined is less accurate and only superior if you have an automatic rifle which you don't so take a seat.

You better have a seat coz i have converted my Norinco into select fire. It is outside Canada where I legally owned it.
BTW, chrome lined barrels are less accurate is just a myth.

That's because he whores himself out to S&W;) Too bad he isn't sponsored by Knights Industries or Korth:p

If any gun companies are monitoring this thread, I am willing to whore myself out to anyone who will give me free guns and unlimited ammo. Haha :dancingbanana:

It does affect accuracy I'm afraid. By how much I don't know. But if it didn't all the bench rest guys would be using chrome lined so their barrels would last longer.

Question about ammo and this firearm. It is chambered to 556/223. Been looking at the local gun stores and I see that there is a lot 223 but very little 556 ammo. Have done some research and I have observed that as long as the Ar is chambered firstly in 556 it is ok the to alternately use 223. Just putting holes in paper so I don't need match grade. Any suggestions as to what brand I should be looking to purchase? I am thinking about buying FREEDOM BUCKET 223 from wholesale sports.

I bought a .223 Freedom bucket in the beginning and it ran fine through my M&P15 Sport II. Now I reload my own. They seem happy eating anything.

Just picked up one of these sport 2 at local gunshop for 650.00 from what I have read online they seem to be very accurate with hornady 55 grain steel cased metal match ammo. Anyone know where to source this ammo in Canada can't seem to find it

Do they have more at $650? If so could you name them? We'll buy them out before end of day!

Sorry I picked up the last one they just got in three and they went pretty quick I was not even looking at buying one but have been reading up on all the threads on here about them so when I saw it and handled it in store I could not resist being there cheaper than a norinco on the ee with a thousand rounds on it lmao feels like a solid rifle fit and finish was amazing carries smith and Wesson lifetime warranty as for the 650.00 price I always beat them down was 699.00 plus tax so I threw a quick 650.00 price at them and they said sure

What mag came in the box? I just ordered in but it's not here yet

Mine came with a 10 round metal mag pinned to 5

I was expecting a gen2 pmag as that's what I had seen in unboxing videos but mine also came with a 5 Rd metal mag marked "M&P" on the bottom. It's a quality mag all the same

Durham Outdoors is a site sponsor and currently is selling these for 659$. I bought mine for the same price from SFRC but I believe they are out of stock now.

Also it was suggested earlier in the thread that picking up a restricted from the post office without an STATT is "100% legal"... this is completely false. By the letter of the law you must still have an STATT to pick it up, you may get away with it but let's just say if you admitted doing it while on the phone with the CFO they will be very friggin pissed with you... hardly "100% Legal". It's a 10 min phone call and restricteds should ship with a tracking number so it's easy to line up and it's always better to cover your ass.

I've had different answers from the firearms centre regarding the requirement for a STATT when picking up from the postal outlet so even they don't know.

There isn't any requirement for picking up a parcel from the post office. What if your wife picks it up - does she necessarily know what it is? Technically you may be correct, by in practical terms I think this is really a stretch. Easiest solution would be to cover any/all trips to/from any postal outlet or mail bin. Or just get rid of the stupid transport requirements for restricted firearms... Sorry to take this off topic - enjoy the new S&W toys!

I'm not defending the laws or saying they make sense. If you ask the CFO he will say yes you need a STATT and that defines whether it is law or not. Taking advice from someone on the net saying you only need to obey the laws that make sense to you is friggin insane.
