OK, so I asked a question a while ago whether or not an M14 would be suitable for moose hunting, the answers I got is that it would work, but isn't ideal. However, when I went to the shooting club a month ago and had a conversation with the staff about hunting firearms, they told me that the .308 Winchester wouldn't be good for shooting moose, nor would a 12 gauge rifled slug either. Now I read a few discussions/articles online that seemed to say the .308 Win is fine for moose... so I'm a little confused here. Anyone got any info if the .308 is good to take down a moose or not? I'm not going to be hunting any time soon, but I just want to get this question out of the way.
