This is a US style match and I believe Syxx15 wants to keep this as close the the original match rules as possible without turning shooters away, hence allowing optics.
Now people want bipods, front rests, sand bags etc. There are plenty of F Class matches, this is supposed to be a fun match using M14/M1A's so lets keep it simple.

"As issued" would be rack grade rifles that would allow Hungry's upgrades, orginal barrel etc. "Non issued" would be rebarreled, optics, bipod etc.

I wont shoot without optics, my vision isnt good enough, I'd just be wasting ammo without hitting anything.
 
^^^That's easy enough, "non issued" class for you. You want to shoot irons sights off a sand bag, "non issued class". wanna use a front rest and scope, non issued class.
 
Just an update, I got all the entry forms and information "package" all done. All we are waiting for now is a confirm date. Hopefully it will be in the next couple of months.

Count me in this sounds like a great time just need the dates when shoot is. You need help with the setup of the range etc let me know I am in london and have Shot in Cedar springs a few times.

Thanks gordo for offering to help setup. I will keep you in mind. Right now we are looking at having the match rather in April or May. One of those months for sure.

Just an update on this match. The entry form is now complete. We are still waiting to hear on range dates. There has been a change in the booking process. Once everything gets shorted out, I will let everyone know when a date is confirmed.

Good news, we finally have a date booked for the M14 match which is Saturday June 29th. I have the entry form completed as stated in my last post. I hope to you can make it down for this match too. Hey you can always delay your Western road trip by 1 week:cool:.

Might be useful to generate interest if you were to post the detailed match description and classes in this thread rather than asking people to email you for details. Maybe throw it into Post 1. Just a thought.

Sounds like a fun event, if I had a rifle that fit one of the classes I would really try to make this work for my schedule. Hope it is a real success and that it grows in the future. Looking forward to hearing an after action report.
 
With just a little more than a month away, there are 16 spots open. Where are all the people who said that they were interested or going to shoot this match???
