Magpul; Art of the precision Rifle

Nothing that anyone has done here is illegal. Do you know what your Canadian copyright laws are?!:bsFlag:

As far as I am aware, Canadians may download music, for personal use, due to a levy charged on blank CD's.

I am not aware of Canadians being able to legally download copyrighted Movies, Software or Games. Please cite your source where it states that downloading Movies is not illegal.

This thread is quickly becoming a TWK
Any of the CDN dealers please PM me or be sure to advertise when you get them in... Thanks!

Oh, you are correct. I just checked Canadian law. Sorry for calling you out. Its a good thing I only listened to the audio track...;)

What's funny is we officially have to apply for export permits from DOS for these.

Brownells must be allowing it to ship because of their under $100 rule.

The videos fall into the same category as lowers and barrels.

That funny cuz there is nothing revolutionary in them, average info at best and lacking in that as well.

Just watched it all I can say that I'm totally underwhelmed. and no I did not steal it

Ditto.

Chris Costa is absolutely annoying in this one.

Always starting a conversation/interviews with this attitude:

"I know everything, but for the form I will still have to ask you the question. I am trying to elaborate that question for the past 5 minutes talking about how much I know about the subject and obviously that I already know the answer to my own question, but since you are there what do you think?"

Very annoying Chris! And what do you think the guy options are as a response? Yes, true, indeed, exactly?
Jesus let the guy speak!

As for the movie:

A brief resume:
-Yes they promote the horus and ballistic computer alot.
-Todd has is little wind call secret recipe revealed. I will have to try it.
-Shoot with a sand bag.
-Adjustable stock. The more the better.
-20" of barrel.
-Heavy contour.
-Get a top glass attached to a QR rings/base. Swap it to other rifles. Have one good instead of 4 cheap ones.

Sometimes you will feel like you are in a math class with this very smart teacher in front of you that know is stuff by hart and have it all figured out. Exactly like that math teacher who likes to explain something by turning it all around over and over. At the end you understand but you feel like all that mental masturbation was not really necessary to get to the point.

8 hours of watching, the most important message you get is this:

Find the most true BC of the bullet you are using no matter what the manufacturer is saying. Imput that to your computer and voila!! You may now use it efficiently and as accurate as it should be. The algorithm of the program will then be as close as possible to the reality and will truly know where the bullet will go. And oh I almost forgot... Scope levels guys!! Get one!

Cheers.:D

sums it up quite well , the only other points to come home with was have /use accurate weather, alt and barometer info

There is a thread on Sipers Hide. Said (generally) it was an infomercial for Horus. Starts out for the advanced shooter in the beginning and "slows" down from there. References made to the number of times that the instructor uses favorite words.

Based on reviews, I'm not so keen on it. Maybe those guys (Snipers Hide) are allot further along then me? So for them its kind of a waste?

Who knows.......

If your looking for tonnes of info on long range shooting , look on Sipers Hide!

Yeah nothing earth shattering but watchable, and frankly enjoyable enough. I have watched thier Shotgun and thier Helicopter films and this is about the same. Frankly I dont know what others expected, I expected something I wouldn't mind watching, with a few good tips thrown in here and there.
The message, skip dicking around with 700s and buy something better, buy good glass, and adjustable stock etc is all reasonable info. Lots of S&B glass in the video.

I'm very surprised the mods aren't locking this thread. Ppl are blatantly illegally downloading copyrighted material and telling others how to do the same. Is illegally downloading material any less "bad" then doing illegal things with guns? Breaking the law sometimes is ok, but not other times?

Yes, it is less "bad" as there is no victim like a violent crime. Downloading and watching it is no different than borrowing it from your buddy who bought it. Now you don't go and borrow movies or music from friends do you? That would make you a hypocrite and a thief! Now downloading it and selling it, that's where I draw the line.

totally bad. By buying the DVD's people ensure that fair compensation is given for work produced. How would you feel if you did not get paid for the work you did at the end of the day? The difference here is that nobody really knows how much money they are out from downloading, because they can't see it.

Try "not stealing" the DVD's from a store and see how that goes for you.

Scope bubble levels for the win!!!

Im still not getting one...

Scope levels work. They are one of those little things that actually make a big difference. Once you start shooting longer distances you will want the level.

Still no good if you don't level the rifle first though.

Well I would lock it down...but no links where posted and I tend to think you guys can police yourselves sometimes!:D MerryChristmas

Here's the difference. Those in films get paid regardless of whether or not their films sell. Only a moron would work without the assurance of pay. As I mentioned above, borrowing the video from a website is no different than borrowing it from a buddy. No one complains about that? If copying material is such a crime, why can you buy blank CD's and DVD's? What's more prudent here is that fact that Magpul feels such a video is worth nearly $60 bucks. Stop hosing the public and maybe more people would buy a copy. Based on the reviews here, I won't be buying a copy. I might not even borrow a copy. Sounds like a lot of common sense "no sh*t" information that can he had for FREE from various forums dedicated to the craft of long range shooting, or by actually attending a PROFESSIONAL COURSE.

************IMPORTANT MESSAGE!!!**********

To all the dealers around! Make sure you guys stock some scope bubble levels now!!! For some unknown reasons these will now sell like crazy!!!

Can't tell I did not told you...

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

LOL!!!

I've been using one on my air rifle for the last 6 years. Very popular in the air rifle community.

Google Speciality Shooting Sports Outdoors or Airgun Source Trail-maker Outdoor Products. One is out West and the other is in Peterborough.

The best item one can have for the rifle.
