This is another members opinion from the other thread..
I haven't come across an easy solution for this problem on a SKS with a pinned rear sight. These pins are pressed fit, thus oversized relative to the opening they are pressed into. These are not meant to come out, EVER...however having said that, you may have to resort to drilling them out. Most of us lack the proper solid work bench, blocks etc...to prevent the rifle, rear sight from moving thus losing much of the energy required to "whack" it out. Once drilled out you should be good to go with the rest of the regular "spring compression" tricks to push down the trunions and move the rear sight leaf rearward. Hope this helps.
