If the IWI are made in the US wouldn’t they be subjected to the extra tariffs ?
That will be a yes likely if it is marked "made in the USA". It is set at 25%

Cost Breakdown: USA vs. Israel - without consider shipping ( air freight from Israel or by truck from the US) -

Cost ComponentSourcing from the USA 🇺🇸Sourcing from Israel 🇮🇱
Standard Customs Duty0% (Under standard USMCA/CUSMA)0% (Under CIFTA)
Retaliatory Surtax+25% Penalty Tariff (Effective Sept 8, 2026)0% (Exempt from US-targeted measures)
Import/Brokerage FeesStandard high-volume brokerage feesStandard high-volume brokerage fees
Sales Tax (GST/HST)Applicable based on province of entryApplicable based on province of entry
Estimated Financial ImpactYou pay 25% extra on the total value of the shipment. You pay base cost + standard import fees only.

tariff could easily pump the price up by 500 to 600 bucks.

Hmmm. Maybe we could buy direct from a distributor in Israel?

Good point, looks like HS 9303.30.90 covers semi-auto center fired rifles. HS Heading 93.06 covers ammo……#### this nonsense, but hey our elbows are way up right?

Can NS beat the clock and import them all by Sep 8th is the million dollar question….

Forgive me if I'm missing something, but that 25% tariffs on US made firearms has been in effect since April of 2025, no? I could find nothing about new tariffs on firearms in the list of new ones.

Edit: I believe those were in effect April-August 2025, and not coming back (9303 category tariffs)

I agree

The 25% is already in place and old news

A fellow who I know works at a retail shop has not seen or heard anything either for Sept 8th

If there are new tarrifs coming into effect sept 8th you can bet your bottom dollar every retailer would already be advertising "beat the tariff" pricing and buy now

How is the support in terms of service and parts for Brigade Manufacturing? The Carmel is made by a state backed company, so there won't be a shortage of service or parts.

The original tariff was removed in September 2025

That’s what I thought. Regardless the new announced counter Tarriffs would be in addition to anything that’s in place now.

I can’t speak to if they would apply to rifles as that’s very niche market and would have zero affect on USA as domestic demand is orders of magnitude larger then what Canada would buy.
