Make up my mind? T3x Lite SS in 6.5 CM or 308 Win?

It fits in a short action for one...not that it matters in a Tikka.

Its on the shelves, much easier to find, and has a much wider range of rifles chambered for it.

Chamber wise, the length/throat geometry is pretty bang on and the rifles tend to shoot well because of it.

Not seeing what isn't to love. With so many cartridges being so similar i really wonder why the 6.5 CM rubs so many people the wrong way, its quite irrational.

No one cusses out 7mm-08 for the sake of 7x57 lol

"Marketing to the gullible". Well, how is the Creedmoor marketed any differently than any other cartridge? Why is the buyer gullible? Examples?
probably because it recoils 30% less so it feels like it hits lighter than it does
and its too extra for most shooters accuracy anyway

This is stupid and I know it. But I'm really having a hard time choosing here.

Max range is 300 yards tops, so its not like long range ballistics matter.

Looking to go with 100gr TTSX and 127gr LRX out of the 6.5 or 110gr TTSX and 130gr TTSX from the 308.

Yeah they seem light, but light for caliber monos are pretty mean.

Sigh
So Joel, 23 months in what did you decide on and why ?
Not looking for justification , but rather the path that led to the choices made.
Was it recommendation or actual first hand experience between the two calibre.
Tight Groups,
Rob

Im curious too.
In that time, based on current habits, I have probably acquired two or three rifles, each of which would have been researched and debated to death.

I know for sure that I purchased my “target” 6.5 CM in that time and since I liked it so much, and its place on the curve, I naturally added a 6.5 Grendel which is a real sweetheart of a rifle.
