March Purchases

I put that on it, it had a Mk II on it when i got it. Klunk, just look for that LB symbol and C Broad Arrow on it, you can see it in the pic.

Yes, I thought I had one on my LB until I looked closer. It is just a B stamp, not LB... :(

if your like me CANTOM, you will soon find that its the one that goes out the door with you. they are so easy to carry, and shoot very well. its a fitting thing to do to a rifle that has allready had the bbl shortened, or wood cut off it.

Beater: Cantom may not have his location listed on his Avatar, but he is from Southern Ontario. Unlike you or I who reside on the great prairies, Cantom must be cautious about going out his door with anything that even resembles a firearm, lest the SWAT team comes a-calling.

Poor Cantom....he must hide his perverse passion for Enfields from his neighbors lest they denounce him as a terrorist. Shame too, he has some nice guns.

Also, the LB Mk1 sights have a fine battle sight, while the brit ones have a larger aperture opening. The LB ones are LB marked and C-broadarrowed. They are very uncommon, used only 1941 and first couple months of 1942.

hmmmm,,, well i sure am sad to hear that about my friend CANTOM. i can hardly think of a day that i dont go out the door with a rifle in my hands.

LOL! :D

Cantom, that snubby No.4 sure is growing on me.
When I first saw them, I said "No! It's wrong! Get it away from me!"

But now it's starting to call out to me...
The idea of such a handy little Lee Enfield seems brilliant.

Is it any lighter than a standard? :)

Man, these are ugly. But just had to have it. My Mosin Nagant sniper, 1944 dated, thanks for looking:)

I own one too, although it's not a March purchase, I'm going to chime in. It's the top one in the photo. I know, I know, someone had the bright idea to cut a new out of wrap No4! I can only shake my head as to why, I sure don't agree or endorse such practices, let that be clear - I never did it! But generally it's a brilliant idea. If you've got a butchered rifle anyway, why the heck not? I love mine, and yes it's extremely light and easy to wield.

Yeah, it is a bit lighter. It's about the same length as a shotgun with a 20" barrel actually.
Check out the difference in length here...which would you rather fight with??:)

I guess that grade of firearms doesn't come on the market every day.

Yup...

I spoke to one old guy out back at the auction house, who was verifying some markings for me on various pieces. He said he'd be doing this for over 40 years and hadn't seen anything like the incredible number of quality collectible pieces such as what came out of the Stern estate, at a single time. :)
