Yep. Very disgraceful business practice. On top of he garand fiasco anybody remember the m305 crooked sight thing? They advertised that theirs were superior and guaranteed to have properly indexed barrels. When everyone got theirs they were all canted! Marstar, No thanks!

Funnily the rock solid warranty wasn't any good even after two requests for help, either.

How the heck did I miss all of this drama? I was wondering where Marstar went.....

It was epic. It even spilled over onto the Voldemort forum, before John finally figured out that he should just shut up.

Guy always was an arrogant prick, but up until then I figured he was an honest one.

Honestly, they wasn't that bad. I bought two Garands with plenty of accessories. I keep the accessories and returned the 2 garands with bayonets. They refund me back everything include the Canada Post cost on both side. That was the last time when I returned defected stuff and got refunded for mailing cost.

KND It's not bad, the return shipping fees paid by marstar ,. personally i had some trouble with the gun dealer at NB and westrifle too, never paid the return shipping, even it was their fault.

but personally, i will buy only from reputed dealer with no bad stories, like we ear here.

I will order one. I got a dominion one from a cgn guy and it was absolute crap half the time it didn't even fire or the op rod would jump.
My first m305 order was from marstar but funny thing was I thought I cancelled and took my money back and gave it to my mother who needed car work done 2 weeks later the rifle showed up on my door step had to borrow some cash to pay for it but it turned into the best 305 to date that iv owned (6) iv out shot Springfield M1As and when I put it in a sage sometimes NM.($1700 vs $3000) What I'm saying is take the bad with the good.

Use to like Marstar a lot and never had a problem with them but I can't forgive them for how they handled the Garand fiasco. I read all the threads on it and couldn't believe that they did that. I'll pass on buying from them. Every business runs into problems and how they handle those problems counts for a lot! Many others out there to deal with.t

I dunno, I have a funny feeling these guns might be knock-offs. Oh sure, they have all the right Norinco markings, but I think they're just well made knock offs.

{AGAIN conclusions without fact, how did you determine that they are "Knock-offs" ? Personal examination in China ? Personal examination here at our warehouse ?
John}

No I'm not John . Just cut & pasted the standard response we all used to love :rolleyes:

Huh. I guess I have to come out from under my rock more often. I wondered what happened to them. I bought quite a few firearms from them - restricteds, nons, milsurps. Every one was a shooter. Actually always had good communication, good packaging, shipping. Mind you, I never had to make a return, warranty claim, etc, so I can't speak to that. Unfortunate event overall.
