People's lives were knowingly put in danger in pursuit of profit. Anyone who doesn't have a serious problem with that is well beyond cognitive dissonance. John's behaviour in that situation was textbook psychopathic behaviour; psychopaths are incapable of admitting any wrongdoing.

These are interesting looking rifles, though. Shame they can't be bought without a breach of morals and ethics.

Are you speaking in regards to the T2 garands? damn, never new it was a safety issue just heard about the unreliability stuff, I was really contemplating getting the socom m305 from them but if that was the case previous they're definitely aren't getting my money

I don't know how I missed that Garand Marstar Fiasco, but glad someone linked the thread.. won't ever buy from those folks... this john fellow seems like a total Plug.

Rear bolt lugs had material sloppily added to them, ruining the heat treatment through annealing and adding soft welding rod material; the resulting mess was ground flat without a jig to ensure the proper angles. The front lugs were then ground back through their hardened layer to shift the bolt's position forward in the receiver. Some bolts had only minimal contact on one lug, and many had been ground so carelessly that the edge of the bolt side was cut into, creating a dangerous shear point. These started as new bolts, and this was all done in an effort to fix major headspace issues due to cheap barrels. Many of those barrels weren't even straight.

Given all of the above, firing any of those (fake and fraudulently advertised T2) Garands was quite literally risking serious injury or death. Marstar was finally banned and removed from this forum, but to my knowledge they suffered no other consequences for putting the lives of their customers in danger and for their blatant fraud.

Honestly, they wasn't that bad. I bought two Garands with plenty of accessories. I keep the accessories and returned the 2 garands with bayonets. They refund me back everything include the Canada Post cost on both side. That was the last time when I returned defected stuff and got refunded for mailing cost.

True. I have never been refunded post costs by anyone else....and I also got some decent shooters from him.

Marstar sold milsurps with false and misleading condition. My M14 from them back after there problem with the blued model was improperly indexed, so when I got it fixed the feed ramps did not line up properly anymore. Every time I tried to like them I just had to order something for it to come in a bit wrong. Best deal from them was the VZ58 which I was stupid to sell but was restricted anyways.

Visual of the above...

{AGAIN conclusions without fact, how did you determine that they are "Knock-offs" ? Personal examination in China ? Personal examination here at our warehouse ?
John}

No I'm not John . Just cut & pasted the standard response we all used to love

This is amazing hahaha - I do not miss seeing his posts on here..

Are the Marstar Chinese m14 clones any different then any other retailer? It doesn't matter which sports store I buy a CCM Hockey stick from. They all came from the same factory.

I feel like Marstar is the type that when given the option of: Norinco M305, $600 a piece, test fired & guaranteed, OR Norinco M305, $500 a piece, crated & no guarantee...they'd go with the cheaper option and let the end user deal with it.

I bought one m305 from them based in his BS that they were inspected and guaranteed to be well put together. Turned out to have an out of spec sight pocket and a slightly over indexed barrel. Fixed the indexing and sold it. Won't buy from him again. T2s just solidified my opinion of them. FULL OF SH!T

John would tell you they are better then any other M305 in country, that they are the largest Norinco importer in Canada, and they did not raise prices on these in 20 years...
And did I mention the ironclad guarantee? If it is a piece of #### (but we do not sell pieces of ####, but just in case), we will refund your money, maybe shipping too depending on how we feel that day.

I remember years ago my uncle said if your going to buy a gun online buy it from those guys, now I can't imagine giving them my money. Saskcop is right, somewhere along the way something happened with that goon.

Has anyone gotten their hands on one of these to inspect? Very curious!

What about the ak mag variant? Same question, what are people's thoughts?

Jay
