Marstar--Type 03 (QBZ-03) would you consider importing these too?

Saying it looks like a SIG angers the $3000 crowd I think. The point is it should be fine since no AK hinges. Should they arrive, at the vaunted $800 threshhold, they'd sell like hotcakes.

I don't think anyone is angry, it is just misleading. It is no where close to being a sig - maybe some of the bolt/bolt carrying group arrangement but everyone was inspired by the AK in general anyways.

This kind of thinking is totally the same as the one who wrote the original prohib. OIC - it is all based on look - sorry it is not even the look, just the "impression". Like the Dragonuv is a variant of AK because someone thinks of AK for some reason when they look at a SVD. It is like me looking at the girl living next door and I think of Jessica Siimpson because I was thinking Jessica Simpson all day long anyways, not necessarily the girl actually looks like her - but hey, she got boobs, two legs and blondish hair so they must be related!!!

Got pictures? :D

I much prefer the look of these rifles. The traditional layout looks great.
The idea of a reasonably-priced military-spec black rifle is a winner.
(I seriously think these would sell well here.)

Perhaps John could let us know if they are importable and in what calibers.
John?

Say what? This looks like a cheap knock off.

The Type 97 is at least unique and compact which should be a lot of fun. You can already get the other one in various other rifles. Buy an XCR instead.

Perhaps bland generic rifle would be a better description. If I was going to design a "no name" brand rifle, that would be it. As for knock off, sorry I guess I jumped the gun on that one. Although the chinese are pretty much infamous for their knock off products. I've seen some not bad Rolox watches :D

i'd take this over the type 97 in a heartbeat.

if i did buy the T97 i'd have to slap myself everytime i took it out of the safe for buying such a fugly POS....seriously, the uglies firearm i think i've ever seen.

but i guess that's what makes it unique.

I am sorry, while it may be a "better" firearm, the AUG is by FAR, uglier. AUG looks like the weapon the bad guys wearing spandex from an old space movie would use.

If ever there was I firearm I didn't mind being Prohib, that would be it (thats a joke btw).

What does ugly, or "fugly," have to do with anything? I'm sure the Libs find something ugly about every gun.

Because I don't buy retarded looking guns..............You guys have at er, I am not suggesting a ban on ugly guns.

"but Fraser, that means you buy guns only for looks, and that makes you vain/mall ninja".

No, pundit, it simply means guns that were designed to "look" modern (see AUG) turn me off because they are always ugly, and firearms shouldn't be designed to look like anything. Bads looks should be a by-product of function (see GLOCK, which I do endorse).

Back to topic, I would very much like to see this gun in the country.
