Key word is at a good price.
If so this would fit the need on the market for a lower priced .223 semi auto rifle nicely IMHO.
If...
They come in as non-restricted
And are able to take the legal 10 round AR mags
And are reasonably priced
I might be interested in buying one for me, and one for my wife.

So CanAm, what's that mysterious "european-rifle-much-better-than-QBZ 03-therefore-way-better-than-Type 97" ?
Lemme guess... you don't want to tell us, so we won't cancel our type97 orders
But wait.. here's the solution; put a 399$ price tag and i'll buy it in addition to the Type 97
09 for the Type 03 or for this mystery Euro Rifle?
Why not? If anything, the knowledge gathered from the T97 incident will help with the importing of future rifles.
I do hope you are right about the knowledge gained from the results of the T97 helping get in other rifles, this rifle in praticular making it here as non-restricted at a price under 1000 dollars could get alot of people into buying black rifles. Looking at how the AWB has been held up in the states its my belief non restricted redish/blackish rifles at reasonable prices could go along way at getting people involved in shooting sports and protecting rights our through joining the orgs.
