Maxus feeding issue

Any news on your maxus . I had a chance today to look at 4 different maxus guns at the local browning dealer . a hunter , sporting ,stalker and an ultimate and all have the shell carrier sitting in the same position as mine with only a mm or so clearance between the carrier and the non ejection side of the receiver .

Ok come clean what did you buy this time :) Rembolt in a browning dealer means new browning coming home ;)

That really sucks getting a new gun and having to deal with it not working right, and then waiting FOREVER to get it fixed. Sucks even more that 99.99% of Maxus's work great. I agree with the Friday afternoon/Monday morning gun theory.

I recently got a new maxus. Works great. Had one problem where a small wood chip was missing from the stock right out of the box. I called the store and browning service centre and the only option was to send the gun away to the service centre, get a new stock ordered in and then sent back, a two month process. I wasn't willing to part with it for that long at this point since sporting clays are just getting started.

Last trip to the range I had a few shells that didn't feed. The fired shell ejected fine, but the bolt or shell hung up on something and the 2nd shell didn't go into the chamber. This happened once while firing the gun and once or twice while speed loading. It may be same issue NVG was having. I put 150 rounds through it no prob, then round 151-250 last night gave this problem 2 or 3 times. I'll see how it goes next week.

EDIT UPDATE May 29:

I put 75 shells through the gun this week. All but a few were speed loaded. All of the shells went in fine except for one which was entirely my fault. I put the shell in through the ejection port but pressed the bolt release button before it was fully settled into place, so the bolt partially closed and got stuck when the end of the shell hit the size of the barrel as described in earlier posts.

I FINALLY GOT IT BACK!!!!!!!!!!

So it took them almost 5 months to get it back to me, and they didn't even give an explanation of what was wrong with it. I'll take it apart this afternoon and see if i can see anything different (it was a long time ago i dont even remember lol) I'm just happy i finally got it back. Weel see how it performs this weekend!

Compare the carrier to the pictures you posted in this thread .is it off center toward the ejection port or more centered in the receiver .

Yeah your right it does seem to be further into the receiver. The bolt is also nice and shiney now haha. I'll let you guys know how it goes on Saturday.
