Maxus feeding issue

New pict:

Yeah your right it does seem to be further into the receiver. The bolt is also nice and shiney now haha. I'll let you guys know how it goes on Saturday.
That looks right to me .the second picture looks like all the maxus I have looked at .with the carrier tight to the inside of the receiver . best of luck hope it run the way its suppose to for you now .

To me the right hand top of the receiver has been ground back, the carrier has been replaced and it sitting now forward by a fair amount. Scribe a line from the end of the carrier to the right side of the receiver and is is pretty clear.

I will ask the old question again for giggles; Have you tried heavier loads so see how they work and two rounds in the mag tube vs one??
What do you have to lose at this stage.

Yes I let someone else shoot it. Exactly the same jam as before. And still not allowed heavy loads or more than one in the tube at the club lol.

I've basically given up on this thing. I'll be getting an overunder very soon. And I may be switching to Beretta lol. It just sucks cuz when its working this gun fits me perfectly.

Tell the club what is going on and garanteed they will make an exception if you are on the stand by yourself or take it to the woods for some coyote hunting. It is clear you are going to have to figure it out by yourself. I wish I was closer I am confident I could fix this thing.
My heart from the start has been saying a weak spring and I am still there.
I own golds a bunch of them four in fact and a maxus and never an issue like this. It is not the norm what you are experiencing

Return the gun for a full in store credit. Don't waste anymore of your time, you should have done this in the first place....replacement or credit.

Would a store really do that?? Most step aside and let you deal with the manufacturer which is going on here even if it goes back and forth many many times. Nothing I can see in any warranty docs for replacement or credit from Browning.

My local shop does. Bought a tactical Escort there, it misfired 1 in 5 shots. Took it back to the store and he handed me a new one. Works great.

If you paid with a credit card you should be able to leave it in the store (whether they want it or not) and phone you CC company and they will refund your money by doing a charge-back.

More like a diamond in the rough to those that can fix their own. Not like it is a new design that has to be proven. It has been out a few years now and other than some bad piston springs at first there has not been a lot of problems with them.
I know of at least 6 other people who have a Maxus of one version or other and all love the gun .now a couple of the guys that got the 3.5" version had a few hiccups with the gun when it was new using target loads .but with use the gun smoothed out I attribute this to the longer travel of the bolt and perhaps stiffer springs to compensate for the heavy 3.5" recoil .

You know 7 since I have one also in 3 1/2 and never an issue with my 1oz reloads in STS hulls that is for sure. I have never tried 7/8 oz but know my Golds don't like those
