Pal r

Hey i'm from abbotsford, i'm wondering where I can take the PAL-R course and if someone could show me the ropes? i have fired a variety of pistols/rifles/shotgun, before.

Ridgedale Rod and Gun Club has a course this month

April 20: PAL course 7-10pm

April 21: PAL course 7-10pm

April 22: PAL course 7-10pm

Good instructors and they do the restricted course as an option/addition after the three nights of PAL.

-goodluck,

Hey there gun nutz, I am in kamloops and I am looking for someone that goes to the range regularly that takes a chrono with them. I wouldn't ask a stranger to make a special trip for me, but its starting to warm up out there and I know peeps are gonna start getting out there, and if I could meet someone there who would be willing to let me put a couple rounds through their chrony then that would really help me see what my reloads are doing. Hopefully someone in the kamloops area is willing to help me out. I'd even take ya for a beer when we're done if thats any incentive. :)

Hey, Dark: How about if I loan you a Chrony, and you just use it at your convenience for a couple weeks?

Except if you shoot it, then you've got to buy me a new one. And you can keep the dead one.

Winfield - Oyama...... area

Is there a BC CFO approved range/ club in this area.

Currently a member at KDFGC and looking at other options... ?

Thank you Tootall

Thank you for initiating a forum for the novice. Need to acquire a firearm first and will likely be in touch. Live in Tswwassen -- Langley a quick drive.

I'm a new shooter living in the Langley area, just looking for guidance and tips on how and where to get started. I picked up a CZ 452 from Reliable a couple weeks back and Im looking for a recommended club. Being within a few blocks of LRGC it was the obvious choice, but their website calendar doesn't seem to have a "free shoot" time block where I can just plink away. I stopped by their office the other day, the guy there wasn't particularly helpful or forthcoming with "need to know" info for a green twentysomething.

Not looking to have my hand held, I'd just like more infomation before I get out there. Any tips or recommendations of particular ranges are appreciated.

Hi I am also a new shooter in the Vancouver area... I was wondering if I want to shoot my shotguns or just plink away with my .22's do I need to goto the range or is there somewhere kind of out of the way (but still near vancouver) where I can set up my own targets and shoot away?

Howdy everybody! I got my PAL last year in school, and only once in Kelowna got an opportunity to go shooting. So I'm pretty Newbie to actually shooting. Now I'm back in Vancouver (and wonderfully without a car :p), so getting an opportunity to shoot is difficult. PM if anyone wants to help a newb get more trigger time! take care all.

Hi everyone.
Just took the restricted course and I would like to try out some SIG SAUER frames:
P220 (12.6 question...Can I get SIG to make/install a 4.1" barrel on this frame?)
P229 (12.6 question...Can I get SIG to make/install a 4.1" barrel on this frame?)
P226
X5

Please don't tell me you have a P226 X-FIVE SHORT & SMART because i will immediately ask to buy it!

I'm open to any exposure so just send me a pm if you're heading to the range or don't mind me coming to see how the frame feels.
I want to make sure I'm getting what I want for these prices.
Cheers

I'm looking to buy my first pistol (RPAL is in the mail) and I was wondering if there's any pistol owners in the Nanaimo area who wouldn't mind meeting up at the fish and game club and let me try out their 1911s or CZs or glocks (or what have you)

I'll gladly compensate you for your ammo and buy you a beer after and talk guns =).

I'm a member at the club and have my range pass. If you have the time, I have good listening ears =).

I'm in the same boat, a new shooter, waiting for my rpal but I have a couple rifles / shotguns already and am looking for somewhere other than a range to go and blast away with my non-res firearms. Burke mountain in PoCo used to be a good spot, and north on Silver Valley road out of Pitt Meadows takes you past qa bunch of good spots (try Google earth). I won't head out with my firearms until my licence shows, but have a 4x4 and might be down for some gravel pit - range time pretty soon.
Cheers, Pete in New Westminster

Yea i have found out a couple spots now... one is up the chehalis forest service road out past mission and deroche. I have been hearing los about sylvester rd too but havent made it there yet... unfortunately i just broke my trigger hand so im out of commision for a few weeks.

The thing about shooting outside of the range for me is that I want something convenient, by the time you get to Mission and Deroche you've driven out of the lower mainland and past at least 4 ranges. I also am motivated to find a close place to shoot for financial reasons, I have 5 teenage boys and want to teach them to enjoy the sport as I do, and drop in fees for 6 might add up fast. They used to let you shoot shot down at Roberts bank near the coal ports in Tawassen, but that might be stopped now. I know there's nothing easy to get to in North Van, the good spots were all east of the city.

Yea I couldnt agree with you more Piper. Usually when I go out mission way I go with friends so even if there are only 2 of us the drop in fees pay for the gas to drive to mission. And atleast out in the bush I dont need to wait on others for cease fires. But it would be great if there was somewhere closer. I am in Burnaby so everything is about the same distance for us.
