Meeting place for Newbies and Mentors - BC

Hi everyone!

i am looking for people who live in the fraser valley area who is interested in getting a group together to do some shooting. i currently live in Richmond but i can drive to pretty much anywhere (within reason that is). Private message me if interested in shooting with a newbie.

anyone doing some sighting in of their rifles before the season starts?
I'd like to tag along in either squamish area or coquitlam.

ya tootall ! thats a great idea,and im ready any time like tommorrow to go shoot some rounds and dial in my scope ....post a time and place and get er done.two guns
 
Awesome forum...Im in Burnaby and Im always wanting to learn more and get some practice shooting...if and when some people are going out love to know what your shooting and where, Iam mostly a handgun guy,have 4 but have a ruger 10/22 and mossberg 500 :) always looking to shoot or learn of more places to do so safely and have alot of fun

You should come out to the Abby range on tues evening for steel challenge practice nights. It runs every tues from 6:00-10:00.

Great place for newbies to learn a lot from some knowledgable good guys.
 
Hi, I recently got my PAL & RPAL and I'm ooking to buy a relatively cheap .22 rifle to get started with. I'd prefer a bolt action rifle but I'm open to other actions. Any suggestions about what is a good starting gun?

Hi Neal, I'm new to this site ,and also a former member of the poco club ,( moved to Nanaimo) saw yur msg. I too have been shooting for some time, and I love shooting a moving target. when I first got my shotgun , I went to the Van. gun club , the guys there were friendly , and very helpful . I started on trap (25 targets) and went from 6-8 clays to 18-20 in a couple of visits. They also have skeet and a field course(50 targets) kind of like golf where you walk a trail and the clays come out at different places, I'm dissapointed I didn't get to do that before moving though. So try them out , the club is strictly shotgun, and happy shooting !!
 
Hi strider, There is a plAce in coquitlam, DVC ventures , an indoor range, a bit expensive but they have just about any hand gun you would want to shoot, plus a few other guns ! I went there to familiarize myself with hand guns to prep for my RPAL .

It be nice to have a section here where you could post that your going shooting today, tomorrow or whenever. State where your going and what you gonna shoot, so that others can join you to try each others guns.

Abbotsford only has 100M for long gun but very active and lots of switched on people in the handgun department...you cant go wrong....if you want goo tactacl training Jason Swanson/Executive arms operates out of there.

I am a member of Mission ( has 300M range) and Abbotsford club....even a small restraunt at Mission.
