Looking at getting on the list for a membership at this range anyone have any info on this range like
How its ran
What the range it self is like
And how the people are there like staff and members
There’s no real staff per say. Every member has to do the orientation and get certified as a range officer, that way you are free to use the range whenever you like during the operating hours. Members have always been very nice, other then my first day there and some grumpy old fella came ripping into the Shepard range and started to yell at everyone cause he couldn’t find a place to park.
Lol ornery old guys aren't the norm, unless you start talking about Trudeau or Notley
.
What's the longest range there
500 metres
Sweet do they have any plans at going longer like 800 to 1000 yards
Not that I know of. They are concentrating on adding many areas of the at Milo but I don't think length will be one of them give the land they sit on
Also, steel plates on the 300, 400 and 500 meter ranges, with a possibility of one on the 200 range. Plinking steel on the .22 range is great fun, by the way. Set up my own (purchased from a site vendor here) and popped away with a single shot using .22 short.
It's a really fantastic facility and getting better all the time. Very clean and well run. We are out there, or Shepard, all the time. Members are pleasant, courteous and safe for the most part. I feel fortunate to be a member and would buy a lifetime membership if it was an option.![]()
Get on the wait list! You won't regret it!
