Modern Varmint Rifle Updated Oct 14 2015

They are both running a match grade stainless steel barrel. Chambered in .223 wylde, so they will fire 5.56 NATO and 223 Remington, but once again we are using a Timney match grade trigger. The potential exists for light primer strikes on military hard primers. I chose my words carefully, because in all probability it will function, but a potential still exists. It still begs the question of why put junk ammo through a top notch gun, and using ammo that doesn't adhere to SAAMI specs will void any warrantys. Too many stories of Norinco blowing up an AR for my liking.

Thanks for your response

Isn't there a MH out there with a natural metal clearcoat - maybe the one that "whokilledbambi" had built??

No. Only the 1st prototype we sent to the SFSS?RCMp we did not bother to anodize it.
ALL production rifles are anodized to surface harden the exposed surfaces.
ALL of the uppers and lowers will be anodized milspec type 3 and black, unless the CeraKote options are selected.

It's getting pretty exciting the 338fedral upper is just about ready a new lighter 6.5CM barrel and soon MV.
I am realy going to have to learn how to reload

Hey there folks, might I ask what optic your planning on? I'm trying to figure out what optic to go with VX6 1-6 or 3-18. Decisions Dicisions ... LOL. It's gonna be a range- bush, target shooter- plinker. Maybe a coyote, if I ever see one..:).

I have a 2.5-10 vortex to get it up and running but I plan to acquire a S&B short dot in 1-8 power. This will be a close range coyote gun as well as other playing.
That's an awesome scope. To bad I'm already tapped out on the gun($4700+ txs). I think I'll have to settle for the VX6 1-6.
