Modern Varmint Rifle Updated Oct 14 2015

"The 1st ones should go out in the next week or so, all we are awaiting is the buffer systems and some of the furniture. Some of the suppliers have been slower than they predicted getting their products to our export agent."

Does this mean there's a chance We'll start getting phone calls the second week of August?

If it turns out that we've selected something specific for furniture that's going to cause a significant delay completing a rifle will you give us a heads up? I'd be willing to consider a change in configuration if it means avoiding a 1-2 month delay waiting for furniture. Even if it costs me a little more.

Those who have ordered with stainless barrels and either standard furniture or PRI hand guards will be getting the 1st calls. Fortis hand guards will be a couple more weeks. Proof barrels are taking longer.
Changes will increase the delays as we ordered the parts based on what the orders for the rifles spec'ed.

I ordered a Fortis hand guard so I guess I'll be waiting a few more weeks. Thanks for the update though!

I'll start with Hornady vmax 53 g and CFE 223. That combo haven't let me down yet.

I'm going other end of the spectrum, I'll be starting with 69gr tipped sierra match kings, and non-tipped to see how they work on some varget. I've also got a handful of 50, 53, 55gr hornady amax/vmax that i'll try out as well but I'm expecting the better results from the heavier bullets.

I got my hands on 750 50gr Nosler ballistic tip for a great price. So I think that and cfe223 for myself
I did some test loads with the Nosler ballistic tips (55 g maybe) and they weren't so great for me. But that was a diff rifle though. I find that the Barnes TYSX bullits are really good but pricy.

Well my buddy is going through a divorce and selling all his stuff so he pretty much gave them to me for 40$ . Can't go wrong. I'll try them and if they don't work good I'll use them on my 22-250

That's where I'm going too, think they will match well with the 1-8" lilja. How many gr you thinkin at starting with the varget? 19-20 and ladder up??

Yep , can't turn down those deals. I just recently picked up a thousand Z max at a good price. They won't go astray:)

Hello. I'm not sure if this has been asked yet but what would happen ATRS if the rifle became ready and the buyer did not have the rest of the funds available. Say they put the 50% down and you contacted the buyer and they did not have the funds that day... what is your policy on that. Basically I'm wondering if you would sell it to the first person who pony's up the dough ? or is there some grace time to make the payment. Also will you announce some time before the rifles are ready and to have payment ready by ?

Thank you.

We are not that hard to deal with. Obviously we would like to have the rifles paid for and go to their respective homes as soon as possible. However life happens and thing can change in a 6 month period. We try to work with folks as best we can and provide options.
So far we have encountered several scenarios that have precluded ASAP pick up ranging from fires, to health issues, to job loss. In all of these cases we have worked it out with the client to either keep the rifle for a reasonable timeframe to come up with the balance, to cancelling the order and refunding the deposit.
2 or 3 orders have been cancelled for various reasons and in the clients best interest we have offered these rifles up for sale and the client was saved financial burden.

On cancellations we advertise the rifles for sale and the 1st "I'll take it" backed up with payment gets them.
