Modifying An SKS

OP, you have to realize, that Canucks don't collect SKS. They only modifie them and shoot them. If you go on WestRifle site, they have right now 12 of 1949 SKS with proper cross bayonet, selling between $400-$600 Cd. In the USA they would sell $1000 to over $2000 Usd and would be all gone. So, NK SKS in Canada means nothing. Mod it.

Pure crap. Lots of collectors in Canada.

Speak for yourself. Lots of SKS collectors and lots of guys who "modernize" it. I don't collect nor do I modify them. Shoot them as-is.

The big problem is its particular "lock, stock, and barrel" design. The action is secured at the rear by the trigger group only. It's as good as it's going to get unless you find a way to secure the front of the action to the stock. Otherwise the rest of the mods are just aesthetic.

I was going to say... I am a co-owner of sksfiles.com and we have a bunch of fine Canadian sks collectors. Some of our best members!

I also fail to understand why Russians being so common would be reason to chop up a North Korean!

!949 SKS with all matching s/n and cross spike bayonet is not so common in the USA. All the other SKS are just clones.

Nope... Not so common. I also do not see anyone chopping them up either. Never.

Lets break this down shall we? We have 26 known T63 specimens documented in the US and they currently bring $4500. How many are in Canada and what would it be worth?

I still neglect to see what Russians have to do with North Koreans. d:h:

Further more... Your 'The rest are all just clones bork bork hack spit' has to be one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. I would put the build quality of this NK, a Romy, an M59, and an early /26\ against your russian any day of the year. But I guess you would have to have experience with those models to know. Eh?

Soo.... What happens when a Tula letter series receiver and parts are fitted and assembled at /26\? Hmmmmmm

You get a very interesting rifle. Great NK sks by the way. I enjoy a little sks collecting myself , gotta love them for what they are , one hell of a reliable rifle when maintained properly.

I read, and was answer to post #28 that you wrote. Assuming you still wanted to know what makes a good modified SKS, which I answered. Can't you even work out a post timeline? Your comments after that, seemed trolling. Smart ass...
Wait... Whos trolling who here?

I also posted early in the thread.

Two pages later 'mr.critical thinking' (thats you) comes in having obviously not read the thread, and tells me all the bubbafications you would do to a collectable. You either A: have no clue what your looking at and just see a gun to be hacked up, or B: you know what it is and just see it as a gun to be hacked up.

After painfully browsing your 'I love me' page in your signature line, your comments about modifying a NK, and creeping me out with your glaring avatar, I have elected to list you under the category of (incapable of critical thinking)

Are you done yet? Stop baiting me.
