Modifying An SKS

He's slummin' it over here on CGN. The poindexters over at sksfiles would tire of this type of charade. It's all business over there. But traffic is slooow, not nearly as busy as CGN. So the OP slums it over here where this topic isn't as stagnant.;)

Ouch... Insults and lies. On a Sunday!

I happen to like my friends to the north. Its a shame some of you guys are so territorial and jerky.

Why do I sense all the bad apples here are also the bubbas?

Pardon my ignorance Cannon, but can you point out what makes it assembled/made in China, I am assuming the English "made in China stamp was put on by importers but are there other markings that show them as Chinese?! I have heard there were Chinese sks in the Vietnam war also, that were delabeled so to speak where they had a certain mark and number but were ghosted I guess so they couldn't be tracked back to China! Would love to find one of those puppies too! Thanks!

Few interesting things on the NK.

The bolt-face has a recessed circular 'groove' or 'channel'. Best guess is that it gives mud etc somewhere to do go. Something like the way the chamber design of 7.62x39 in similar fashion to a machine gun chamber.

Anyhow... Here it is.

Bought it on GunBroker last year. Thats about all the story there is. They come up for sale every once in a while when someone decides to sell one. They are usually already on the list of known specimens.
