More deals coming....

Everybody is so negative. If you don't like the deal them buy local. I wish I had somewhere to buy cool guns local...

I agree, you should buy local if given the chance. ...
I tried local and didn't like the uncertainty or surprise. So will go elsewhere and come back when carrots aren't dangled.

Its not like we have the money anyway! Another week to get the CC a little lower before the magical deal appears from the mist would be okay. In case I have to have it.

I still REALLY want a junk AK though. Just sayin.

You now have time to save up for these deals, we guarantee that you have never seen these prices or combo packages, why pay more elsewhere ?

Sorry I have seen most of these items cheaper at most places, let me turn this around (since you came out first with this question) why should we pay more from you? I can apreciate that costs change, but why would you spend a month building people up for basically the same guns that are already on the market for about the same price (if not a bit higher)?

I could be wrong..but the deals havnt even been announced yet.. clam down.. :)

People are commenting on the original post. It refered to cheapest prices AND combo deals we have never seen before. Prices are now being posted, and they are run of the mill, average.

Not bad prices, just not matching the hype of the original post.

Still waiting to see if the combo deals are worth it. Fingers crossed.

Hmm. Didn't I predict this very scenario several dozen pages ago?

I suppose now's a good a time as any: TOLD YOU SO. Marstar's modus operandi is so predictable you could bet money on it (but don't, if you're shopping there; you'll need the extra dollars for the "unbelievable deals").

If I was Marstar, I'd get this out quick. The more time passes, the more people are getting frustrated it seems.
John will just make some more vague promises and the hangers-on will salivate like Pavlov's dogs in anticipation.

If you don't like Marstar, why are you continuously posting negative comments in this thread, or furthermore - in their forum?

Did they kill your dog?
Lay you off?
Spit in your cornflakes?

Are you unhappy with a past purchase? Did you make a complaint - if so, you've said your piece, move on. If not, you're pissing all over a site sponsor for nothing? Get a life, chief. If the prices are too high for you, don't buy anything - simple as that. No need for your incessant valueless posts.

Same goes for everyone else whining in this thread - have you not been around the firearms community long enough to realize things don't happen very quickly, or often get held up by shipping/CBSA/RCMP/etc. Yes, John may have posted this a little early... give it a break until the deals are actually posted.

Maybe someone can help un-muddy the waters in my head. I might have been highly over-thinking this at work today but, if the Canadian Gun Law says:

A replica firearm is a device that is not a real firearm, but that was designed to look exactly or almost exactly like a real firearm.
Replica firearms are prohibited devices in Canada

Storing and Transporting Deactivated Firearms

The regulations pertaining to the safe storage and transportation of firearms do not apply to firearms that have been deregistered due to deactivation

Deactivated firearms are classed as "non-guns" and are therefore not subject to any portion of the law. The ownership or possession of deactivated firearms is not covered by the provisions of either the Criminal Code of Canada, or the Firearms Act. Deactivated firearms may be owned, bought, sold or traded by anyone of any age without a licence or registration!

So where does the government draw the line between the two sets of rules? If they offer deactivated AKs, could I, theoretically use it as a prop at a costume party?? Is it going to be one of those things where an ill-informed LEO could make your life hell? I know for certain that Marstar isn't offering anything illegal. Any insight would be helpful

You overthought it.

A deactivated firearm has to be verified deactivated by a gunsmith. It is not a firearm at that point and is not a replica.
