Mosin Nagant 91/30 and Combo Packs Now Available!!

Are they 1891's as the ad says, or are they 91/30's?

I think Model 1891 is what its called, but people got M91/30 , m short for model, 91 short for 1891, 30 short for 30" barrel? hence M91/30 , I could be wrong though, but im 90% positive theyre M91/30s

I just ordered one, I put in notes "pleeeease give me a Hex receiver"

Can't wait until it arrives to add it to my collection, hopefully cleaning the cosmoline won't be to bad!

I guess OP's comment was more about whether or not these were M91 versus M91/30. M91 being more valueable than the standard WWII issue M91/30.

I just stopped by about an hour ago and picked up a case of the 7.62x54R and a 1938 dated Mosin complete with ammo pouches and sling. Stock looks pretty rough but may buff up nice and metalwork looks very good indeed. Total inc tax was only $93 more than I paid for a case of the same calibre ammo at WSS last week so I certainly ain't complaining !

Very friendly service and the nice young fellow helped me carry my stuff to the truck

Edit - it is a 91/30

M91 was the original designation in 1891, and over the course of time there were a few changes and updates. M91/30 was an updated model of the M91 which was introduced in 1930. A couple ways to tell em apart are the M91 being noticeably longer, open front sight as opposed to the hood on the 91/30 (not taking into account the Finnish captures and mods) and the front stock ring on the M91 is noticeably closer to the end of the stock.

Not sure of the barrel length on its own, but I can tell you (after I got curious and bored a while ago) that with the bayonet attached, the 91/30 is right around 5 foot 5.75 inches tall. Damn near as tall as I am lol.

Ordered my on Sunday night. $150 VG condition, plus free shipping. It is the deal I could not resist

I bought my first gun from wanstalls (SKS) two years ago when the long-gun registry was still on its last legs. it was pain in the ass when you register a military surplus rifle as its numbers were modified or unmatched.

I just ordered one too. Indicated 10 bucks for shipping. Was there a code or something I needed to put in for the free shipping? Thanks, great deal!

I ordered one of the rifles, cannot wait to get my hands on this piece of history.

Any tips for things to modify or check when I get it from experienced owners?

Couldn't resist the Mosin+ammo deal, just make sure to clean the barrel well!!

Wanstalls was good enough to help me find a hex receiver mosin in store, orange serial numbering, prewar, great shape on barrel and stock..overall very very unique.
Thanks again guys.

Really looking forward to getting my first Mosin in a couple days. Are these rifles typically covered in cosmoline like the SKS?
