Mossberg Tactical .22

Sur is good rifle for the value and look nothing compare!!

Just got mine today, first I must start by saying congrats to Cabelas on their shipping got it here in 3 days. My first impressions are for what I paid and what I was expecting I got exactly what I thought I would. 2 things rattle, the stock and the barrel shroud, I suspect I can fix the shroud by simply tightening it up a bit, as for the stock every 6 position stock I have owned has rattled in some way so thats expected.

I mean for being made out of mostly plastic I like the overall look, could be a but heavier but I figure by the time I add a redot and flashlight laser combo it will add a little weight to it for me. The biggest thing I dont like is the fast the mag housing is so short, wish it was a little longer but oh well cant really complain.

I have no problem with the action being stiff or bolt getting stuck or anything like mentioned above, and I dont see any sharp corners or areas that are roughed up. Will have to take it out to the range and give it a test, considering I could get 2 of these for what I paid for my vtr 597 I am very happy with the 300$ I spent on it.

I agree whit you i am realy sur this rifle they worth the money ;), for 260$ + tax + shipping.
Dont wait to recev a Norinrinco CQA is realy not the same thing and price ok :) i own one.

Is a question of tast for me i dont like the look of a ruger 10/22 whit the arcangenl and banana mag, but i know is a realy good rifle because i own one and the past but againe is realy not the same price.

Sorry for my writing gang.;)

Didnt know the fixed stock and 6 position stock had 2 different barrel shrouds on them, the fixed looks like and like it will rattle less but I like the 4 rail option on mine

If you're referring to the picture I posted, that is just a mock up with a A1 buttstock and A2 handguard. Mine came with the 6 position stock and railed handguard.

Mine is in. Heres a quick pic. I gotta say, for the 330$ i spent on it, its exactly what i was expecting. I was not expecting SR-22 quality or finish as it seems everyone else is. Its worth its price, and not a penny more.

Feels nice. pretty light weight (due to it being mostly plastic) should be a fun little toy for plinking. Cant wait to hit the range tomorrow!

Good to hear Bigguy and 49er!!!
Enjoy!!

I wish mine would get here!! I got a response on Monday (Oct.18) from Cabelas saying my order was placed but no shipping info or anything else since then??

I ordered mine Tuesday afternoon and got a Canada Post ship notice the next day. ETA Monday. Not bad for BANTARIO.

Took mine out to the range today. Shoots nice. Only problem I had was with the magazine release. I found it to be a pain in the ass and real hard to extract the mag. Had to push the lever and pull on the mag on several occasions to get it to drop. Now this could be due to me taking it apart when I got it to clean and lube it.
Other than that it was/is fun to shoot. Grouping were not to bad.
I'm sure they could have been a lot smaller had a more experienced shooter been behind the sights.

Ok so took it to the range. and i have to say, i was too lazy to tare it down and give it a good initial cleaning, and i suffered the consequences. I had alot of jams. At first i thought it was the ammo (win wildcat) then switched up to CCI mini mag (jammed almost never)

At the range, Alot of people came over to ask me what it was

Over all, once i had it sighten in with the help of a friend it was pretty consistant in terms of accuracy/grouping at 25 yrds.

Magazine ejection was tough at first, but once you figure it out, the mag just comes out easily without fuss.

So i came home and stripped it down for a good cleaning. And its what i should have done before using it. It was SO dirty. full of oil/sandy/sludge, its like mossberg took it to war then threw it in a box for sale.

No pics of the whole thing appart sorry. just the plastics off.

Once i had it cleaned and lubed up. The action was much much smoother. I'll hit the range again next week and see how it performs.

The issue I had with the mag release was my own fault. While putting it back together I put the mag release lever in the wrong side. Took it apart today to clean it after lastnights use and reversed it. Works like a charm now.

Please tell me you didnt have to use the hammer in the pic to get it back together or apart :D:D

Took mine out today with us while we were pheasant hunting . stopped for lunch and brought it out now all I did to get the thick looking oil grease whatever out of mine was to soke it down with wd-40 got it last night and was too lazy to clean it properly
250rnds american eagle no failures functioned great I like it.
PS the mag release works best if after the last shot lock the bolt back by pushing in on the handle. then the mag will just fall out

That's great man to get out in the bush with it. I'm realy interested in it as well. Has anyone ever heard of the RCMP making something restricted after it's been out a while ? I only ask because it looks to awesome !

As a 702 Plinkster owner, I already know alllll about it's little quirks (such as cleaning and what ammo it likes). I'm gonna buy one of these when they come out with the hi-cap mags - just for kicks and giggles when I'm out doing some gopher control!!
