I have fired a .22 and .17 on the same day from the same bench and in a 10 mph crosswind, the lighter .17 drifts much more at distance. at 50 yds. there was no real difference, but I seldom shoot that short .
The 17hmr drifts less in the wind than either the 22lr or the 22wmr.
Like most ballistic charts I'd have to say that is horses**t. In my experience I find that whatever is represented in ballistic charts is usually the opposite in reality. I have had the same experience as the above poster.

on this one. Looks like I should be able to sell off my Anshutz prone rifle and stop wasting good .308 match ammo in my $4000 custom built target rilfe, if you can get this kind of accuracy out of a clone Remington Nylon at 300 yards
