I know there are a couple of pros (Longshot and Gunnerlove to name a few) around here that can definitely attest to Colt Canada’s performance, but in the hands of a beginner like me, I was blown away. I was at my first and only service rifle shoot and at 100, 200, 300 and 500m (did we shoot at 400m? I don’t remember), the rifle was putting rounds where I wanted most of the time.
To put it in perspective, I’m a crap shot to begin with, my eyes were pretty horrible before the laser eye surgery, I don’t have the steadiest hands, and it was my first time ever reaching out to 500m, but in a ten round serial, I managed two v-bulls and the remainder were mostly in the bull or close to it. I wasn’t expecting to get any on paper, let alone v-bulls at 500m.
Anyway, I picked up some excellent experience from that shoot. The more experienced shooters as well as the staff were excellent coaches and the next range exercise I went on, I was able to easily place all rounds under one small indicator at 100m. I bought an SA20 because of that experience.
