My 22 shoots 1/2" groups at 50 yards/meters all day! Really? Prove it!

We are in dire need of a similar thread for rimfire handguns.

One handed, bullseye style at 50 meters, iron sights only. ;) (indoors or springtime of course)

I'd suggest 20yd as that is fairly common for indoor ranges. If you start the thread, I'll post an entry by the end of January.

I have been playing at this for a while. Lots of shooter error. With some SK ammo I managed to shoot 8 groups that averaged 4.4, 2 of the groups were over .5. Lots of fun to try, makes me question some of the statements I reed. (It's on the net it must be so). One thing I found very interesting was how much different ammo changed POI. Even ammo with same volicity shot way different , as much as 4-5 inches. So much for shooting a mixed bag of shells in the gopher patch!

This is an interesting challenge, just got a 22LR rifle and scope ( CZ 452 Lux/Leupold 3-9X33) after 3 range sessions I have my groups @50 meters less than 1 inch and will try for 1/2 inch.

20 yards is just too common for pistols my friend! I'm thinking a big yes to 50. Any calibre or action of handgun, black powder or rimfire or centrefire cartridge, iron sights only. One hand to support and shoot your piece from a standing position. ;)

I was trying out my new SS bi-pod today and figured I would try again.
It was out in the freezing rain so wind flags were not going to work. There was about 3/4-1" of wind
These are raw measurements on paper.

Smallest

Largest

The setup
CZ 452 Varmint SS Bi-pod
Sk std plus ammo

Normally the groups are better but I keep getting flyers. I have to figure that out yet.
So with .220 removed from each raw measurement
.458 Worst
.287
.213 Best
.269
.334

Avg .312

I haven't been paying much attention to this thread. But I see we have another successful attempt. Nice shooting ishodu. I added you to the successful list.

I'm sorry guys, but I don't go in to the rimfire thread very often. So if you post a successful attempt and I don't add you to the list send me a PM and bring it to my attention.

Ishodu
How do you like your SS pod ? Ease of adjustment, stability, adjustment range etc.
Please PM rather than sidetracking this thread.
